| | Out and About Late April or early May is a wonderful time of year for the Bluebells. Many gardens are open to the public in the Cheshire area and this recent May bank holiday Monday was a nice enough day (although not blue skies) for a visit to Capesthorne Hall, not far from Macclesfield. It has a stately Jacobean House which can be visited but we went for the stunning bluebells on its woodland estate. More detail are on my Cheshire page. |
| | Travel Plans for 2008...even 2009 Plans are already made for 2008:-)) January - a cold week in Toronto awaits, mainly for a conference but I'm sure a trip to Niagara will be made.
May we are going to Santorini - was disappointed to miss the VT meet here in 2007 but its a definite for 2008 - 4 nights in Fira and 3 nights in Kamari
July its back to Switzerland for our mountain and hiking fix - a combination of Brig/Kandersteg and Adelboden over 11 days has been booked.
October its back to Greek Islands, basing ourselves in Kos for Kalymnos, Nisyrsos, Leros....maybe Patmos 2009 plans already in motion...time for some other islands like Corsica and Sicily
My thanks to all who are kind enough to look and leave comments on my pages - its always good to get feedback :-)) Please accept my apologies if I don't always have time to personally thank you.

| Can't VT on a empty stomach! |
| | VT Life..the morning after the night before... The life of a VT'er building pages and surfing VT...here we are straight from bed, not dressed, hair not combed, trying to wake up with my VT fix and cooked breakfast delivered by an ever patient husband......but did he have to take a pic....the offfice looks such a mess ;-0 |
| | About me.... Married for oh so many years now and enjoy travelling with Dave my better half. I'm a Senior Biomedical Scientist working in a busy district general hospital to pay for those travels. My work speciality is Histopathology which is the study of tissues in the diseased state - a great dinner conversation killer and put people right off their liver and onions ;-) |
| | The Tourist I'm not ashamed to say I enjoy the touristy things whilst on holiday. Have enjoyed several city breaks in recent years - especially the italian ones. Some of my favourite cities abroad are: Venice Verona Rome Prague
and at home: Liverpool York Chester
Also we enjoying walking in the mountains - usually with the aid of cable-cars for a head start, OK so I often cheat but it saves the leg work! Favourite moutain places are: Switzerland Dolomites Austria |
| | REFLECTIONS I obviously love photography when travelling and I particulary look out for reflection pictures.
Even better when I get sunsets reflected in the marina of my home town of West Kirby....you'll often find me dashing out there for the sunset.

travelfrosch Wed Jul 23, 2008 23:15 UTC Glad to hear you enjoyed the Heuberg Rundweg! Sadly, it was too snowy when we visited in May. I've been watching the Kandersteg webcam with envy... wish I could be there now! Oh well, Sara and I did walk across the Brooklyn Bridge last weekend... 8) | WorldMeet2008 Sun Jul 20, 2008 15:29 UTC Your next trip? Make it really unique! It's not too late to attend WM08 - Jerusalem, Tel Aviv & Dead- Sea on 25- 28th Sept (+Petra 29-30th). We want to double the num of attendees to 100! Click to learn where, when, what, how, how much!
