I'm interested in hiking down a portion (or all!) of the Japan "spine" and would like to hike from onsen to onsen so I have a place to soak/sleep/feed at night before setting out the next day. Is anyone aware if such a guide book exists? Can either be in English or Japanese. Onegai~shimasu.

I have a plan to visit Malaysia in last week of August. There I have a plan to visit KL Twin Tower on Sunday 31st August 2008 on the independance day of Malaysia.
Would it [KL Twin tower] be open to visiors on that day?
Would Aquarium be open on that day?
Is there some place where we can be enjoy celebrations?
Would it be easy to have entry on that day on mentioned places and KL Communication tower as well?

i'm new in this forum and would like to have your opinion is it possible to complete a day trip to lantau island and disneyland?

Most likely in disneyland we are not going to take any ride, just want to enjoy the sightseeing such as carnaval/parade. Do they have a good night entertainment?

Looking for some info on best options for one way flight from Narita to Hong Kong direct flight some time in spring 2009.

I have been advsied best bet is to book through a travel agent who deals in Asia as one way tickets on internet purchased form North America are not usualy feasible.

Any feedback or suggestions welcome.

I'm thinking of going to Tokyo in Nov. What would the weather be like then? rainy, windy or cool and nice? Is it a good time to travel? I read its 13 deg to 21 deg.. i dont quite like the cold so am concerned.

we are going to travel to Goa in November. It seems to me that it is good idea to stay not in the hotel but to rent a villa. If somebody wants to join us, and to share big and luxury villa with two or three yang girls, please contact me.

I was wondering if it was neccessary to contact the Thai embassy to request a list of drugs that arent allowed.

I know they have strict drug laws and want to make sure that our laws of what is legal dont clash.

I have anti hystamines, adrenaline inhalor, epi pen, imodium plus, diarsafe (yeast based) & vitamins.

Does anyone know if they will dis allow any of these? especially the allergy medication

I heard that Suoi Tien theme Park is one of the tourists attractions in vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City). We are planning to visit Ho Chi Minh in December and would love to hear your comments about this park.

Also, can anyone let me know whether there's any possibility of buying entrance tickets on-line? I have checked the web site but no mention about tickets/fees.
Any idea how much is a ticket/pass to this theme park? and will it cover the rides or do we have to buy separate tickets for rides and other activities?

Again, according to their website, this park looks quite big, I mean looks like needs few days of exploring. Can we cover this park in a day? We are travelling with our 6yrs old daughter and that's why we want to visit this. But I'm bit concern about time. I can spare a day but not quite sure how many sections/parts we can cover within a day.

I read that there're a few boat operators plying Mersing-Tioman. But from Mersing, after bus alights us, where do we purchase the tickets? From an agent, boat operator's office or on the boat itself? If buying from an agent (who sells more than 1 company's tickets), how to know which boat will reach the earliest?

Coming back (Tioman-Mersing), where to buy the tickets?

Is there a Trasnational ticketing office there to purchase bus tickets back to SG? Any problem with buying the bus ticket on the day itself (most prob on Fri)

In another travel site there were two reviews of a hotel called ‘Shelter Beach Resort’ the reviews were very bad but in one the writer wrote this:

This sounds exactly the sort of place I’m looking for, an ok beach with hardly any people on it.

The hotel is on the East Coast Road at a place called Vada Nemmeli, does anyone know this place? It sounds exactly where I want to be.

Are there really deserted beaches along this coast (even in December and January)?

As a 2 metre tall farang i find long bus journeys torture. is there a train and how long does it take and cost.also as i am arriving without visa just a 2 week stamp at airport. is there a border crossing to some nice place where i can renew visa as i plan to spend a month in thailand.

I am planning to visit Beijing and Xian in Sept 08. Wander if Beijing is still packed and others stuffs (hotel & food) is still expensive??

Hey all! I would just like to ask for opinions and advice regarding Boracay. My friends and I will be on a 4-day tour, first to Guimaras and then Boracay. Since we are all students(and just two teachers) we would like to have the ultimate Bora experience. Any tips as to where we should go and things we shouldn't miss? I will be in Manila at the end of this month. When I can find some free time I need a flight to Bangkok. Is it a big problem getting a flight to BKK on a couple days notice? I will have some free time but I won't know when until a couple days before.

I prefer to fly with Philippine Airlines or even Cebu Pacific direct from Manila.
I have some big bags and I think (may be wrong) the weight will be okay on these two airlines and not on one from Clark.

Hi VTers, I'm looking at visiting Beijing during my X'mas & New Year holidays end of this year. Understand it'll be winter then and pretty cold. Just wondering if all the usual tourist sights (Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, Great Wall) will be opened? Would the weather be too cold to actually go outdoors for sight seeing?

Can someone tell give me advice on what type of transportation I can take from Butuan City to Bayugan City. I have been to the Butuan Bus terminal but I dont know which bus to take from Butuan going to Bayugan City or if they have vans for hire from that location. My trip there will be next month.
