Le Cailcédrat.: On the Black Volta River (Mouhoun).
Really a magical place.
Seems to be on another planet, far from everything.
Very warm welcoming.
The French permanent staff, José, is from Corsica. Very friendly, helpul and knows very well the region.
Good (simple) African food.
Bottled water.
Accomodation is in small bungalows with showers.
No air conditionning, only fans but it's OK: the river brings some fresh air at night.
It also brings mosquitoes. All the windows and beds are equiped with mosquito screens.
Electricity by generator only some hours during the day.
Perfect for relaxing, bird and animal watching.
They organize more in depth visits of the Park. Book in advance.
