A hotel with a great view
by Bernd_L about Hotel Mont Febe
Hotel Mont Febe is one of Yaoundes best hotels. It is located in a lush green environment on the slope of mount 'Mont Febe' overlooking the city of Yaounde. We stayed there for one week and we can recommend it to other tourists. The rooms are well equipped and very clean.
For businessmen this hotel is not so suitable, because it is far out of the city. But it is perfect for recreation because it is calm and in a wonderful setting.
Like in every better hotel where rich foreigners can be expected there are always some prostitutes around. But we never felt molested. We liked the splendid view over Yaounde especially at night.
The hotel offers a nice pool, an 18-hole golf course, a good restaurant, a casino and a nightclub.
A shuttle bus to the airport is available.
out of town hotel on hill in Yaounde
by carolerica about Hotel Mont FEBE
The rooms smell a bit, their is carpet on the floor, and I alsways believe that in a hot and humid country, carpet are really a bad idea! But otherwise, their is an amazing view, the staff is nice and helpful, room service quite good... And most of all, it's far from the center of town, so is very quite. Except on WE when children come to the pool, but the laughters of kids cannot be considered as annoyance!!!

my first trip as a journalist
by The-Joker
My first trip faraway as a journalist - The lights and the lifts were broken in some ministries and I had an interview with a chief of cabinet who nevers appeared because his brother had been beaten by a snake in the jungle.
I remember the hotel Mont Febe, outside the city, after a week of investigation on agriculture and politics - nice girls there at the bar on friday night, borring expat at the swiming pool on sunday lunch -
I meet there an African prince tribe (said to be) he was very pround because he had played tennis with yannick noah tennis player -
After, I took the road with expat to Douala, a lot of accidented trucks on the road loaded with big cut trees -
