Kempinski: N'Djamena's best hotel

Hi I would advice you to try out the Kempinski Hotel which is awesome and the best place in N'Djamena has great service and delicious food! It would cost you 150euro per night.
But there is a new hotel which is called La Reneissance, it is supposed to be pretty good. There is the Novotel and the Meridien which have the same price as Kempinski. Your best choice would be Kempinsky. By the way I'm from Moldova and I'm blogging from Chad: http://adventuresofcristina.com/

Novotel N'Djamena: Best Hotel in N'Djamena

Probably the best hotel i Chad. However, this dosen't say so much since there is not so many decent hotels at all in Chad. Perhaps a bit to close to the airport, you'll get the feeling that the runway passes trough your room at take off... Nice and clean pool with a view to the river and Cameroon.

La Caravelle: N'Djamena, camping in a garden of a restaurant

At a distance of 5km La Caravelle is a bit far from the citycentre and the Avenue Charles de Gaulle, but it's the only place where we could camp, after the management of Novotel refused us to camp in the garden of their hotel. The restaurant La Caravelle has a fenced green garden, where you can camp between the flowering plants and the seats of the bar-restaurant.

It is a very relaxed place. Only the maribu sometimes tried to pick you, waiting for you, when you come out of your tent. In the garden are also the remains of a caravelle plane.

The food is OK and it's nice sitting under the roof of the open-air bar. There are not many facilities, only one shower, two toilets, a tap and a pump.

In Douguia there is a small hotel with restaurant and swimmingpool at the bank of the Chari River. It's a pleasant place, very green and shady with huge mango trees. It's allowed to camp under the trees at the riverbank.

If you camp, you can use the flushing toilets and hot showers near the pool. If you take your dinner in the restaurant, you can camp for free. The dinner is 7.000 CFA, but we had a discount of 50%. If you cook your own meal, you have to pay 1.500 CFA for camping.

Rooms with airco and bathroom cost 20.000 CFA. We didn't book in advance, so there were no rooms available. You can make reservations for the rooms in N'Djamena, Safari Chad (te. see below).
