Hotel ihusi is a stadard hotel in Goma build near the lake kivu, a great east african lake and safe to swim . the hotel has a good lake view and while standing in the ihusi garden the Rwandan mountains can be seen in the background,

Chalets hotel: Chalets Hotel

I did not stay here, I had a coke while looking out onto Lake Kivu and the view was really great. There was a small beach where people were suntanning and the guests looked pretty relaxed. I never got a chance to see the rooms or prices but the number is here for your benefit. On Sundays they have a barbecue starting from 13h00, we were too hungry to wait, but on our way out the kebabs and salad buffet looked great

Hotel Nyira: Hotel Nyira

I returned from Goma on 5 January 2005.
The best thing about this hotel is Sandra, who is very helpful and speaks perfect English. This is a decent hotel, with good food and the price is pretty good we got our rooms for US$40 per night because we were filming MONUC activity. If you are not with MONUC expect to pay US$50 to US$60 per night.
The breakfast that is included is actually only White Toast with Butter and Jam as well as coffee. If you pay an extra US$6 you get an omellete. There is no breakfast buffet, but the $6 omellete won't make you ill and should keep you going for the day if you plan on missing lunch - which is what happened most of time we were there....

Unique Quality: The fact that Sandra is very helpful, speaks perfect English and will offer to assist if you need a driver with vehicle or any other queries you may have.
