Let us start with the service or lack of. Whether it is begging to get served at the bar while watching 4 hostesses chat it up ignoring customers, or hoping for clean utensils or for that matter utensils period while eating the service here is by far the worse I have ever experienced.
I have been here for a month, not one single day has the housekeeping left all required linens, towels, pillow cases ect for me to use. Complaints to the manager go unheard. Unfortunately I am stuck here due to a company contract. As I sit here and type this it is 4pm just returned from a day in the heat working and my room has not been touched by housekeeping.
The food is below par at best. Even when I did chose to eat at the buffets usually if you were not the first one there you could forget any food being replenished. Breakfast is the same way. Same exact crap every single day. No varying the menu what so ever.
Now lets move on to the hustlers that the hotel allows to camp out in their parking lot that hassle you from the moment you step out of the vehicle. I am glad this is not coming out of my pocket, if you come over here on your own dime go the the Kempinski. Yeah it is expensive but, it appears you get what you pay for. Oh and by the way I will be lucky to post this as the extremely expensive internet access is down about 85 percent of the time. CHEERS!!!
Unique Quality: Smells like a water treatment plant.
No hot water except maybe 5 tepid minutes early morning.
If you have cash to spend, or are on expenses, the Sheraton is the most comfortable place to stay. Make sure you ask for a room on one of the newly-renovated floors. The hotel has a small pool and a is on a rather uninviting stretch of coastline.

Located on a peninsula, the Djibouti Sheraton is a Sheraton standard international Hotel on a very nice beach, which has its own beach club. It was just down the Street from the Embassy were I worked.
