Hilton Nuweiba Coral Resort
South Sinai, Nuweiba, 46625, Egypt
5 Star at Nuweiba
Nestled among the sandy white beaches of the Sinai overlooking the Red Sea, the Hilton Nuweiba Coral Resort is tranquil and delightfully quiet. There are beautiful coral reefs, secluded beaches and coves just waiting to be discovered. Beneath the water of the Red Sea the ambience is every bit as calm as it's breathtaking....
Unique Quality: 5 star facilities...
Hilton Coral Nuweiba
This is a 4 star hotel set in beautiful grounds with a beachfront setting. Accommodation is low rise, in three main blocks, and also with bungalows set in the grounds around the small heated pool. We stayed here for 2 weeks at the beginning of April 05. Rooms are a little dated, but comfortable enough with minibar, satellite TV, tea and coffee making facilities. Bathroom a bit basic for a 4 star hotel (but I believe the rooms are due to be done up). Not really a problem, as we were rarely in them apart from to sleep. Hotel has reasonable amenities, tennis court (seen better days, but playable), crazy golf on beach, volleyball, basketball, beach games etc. Didn't really use the disco so can't comment. The food was very good and no stomach problems. You could chose from the usual buffet or an Italian (great pizzas). The best part of this holiday was being able to snorkel off the beach and see a reasonable range of fish. This improved if you walked 5-10 minutes up the beach to the reef where a large variety of fish could be seen. Only annoying part was that some days the water was too cloudy to see much, but on others the water was crystal clear. You could also see the lion fish off the pier at night when they lit up the jetty. The staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for you. The entertainment left a little to be desired, but was OK as they showed a lot of premiership soccer games on the big screen TV in the disco. Also enjoyed being able to take a taxi into Nuweiba to go shopping.
Unique Quality: Excellent position right on the beach. Good location for seing the sights of the region. Good variety of food. Beautiful grounds which were always well cared for. Friendly staff.
A nice hotel in a beautiful setting
A good, large and spacious hotel set in a beautiful location.
Rooms are a bit small and old but there are two pools, a lovely beach and a good standard of service to match.
Operates on an all-inclusive basis, filled mainly with British guests but you will find other Euorpeans as well as Israelis.
Unique Quality: Beautiful location, lovely beach, quiet and peaceful.
Excellent in winter time as it faces south and thus is protected from the cold north winds - but a bit hot in the summer months.
Directions: Located on the south side of Nuweiba, facing due south and near the port.

What a fantastic holiday
Just returned from a week at the Hilton Nuweiba, a stunning location, I agree with some of the other reviews that the rooms are a little dated and not what you'd really call four star but refurbishments had started during the week I was there, and you spend so little time in the rooms that it's not really relevent, whole resport very clean.
Beach - immaculately clean and a lovely breeze (temperature exceeded 32 even in April). Beach bar staff great.
Food - Wow, lots of choice and you just have to try the many cakes and pastries.
Staff - The Hilton's greatest assett, smiling all day long and nothing is too much trouble, service that I have never experienced anywhere else in the world.
Would I go back - Absolutely, an ideal resort for a relaxing week, guaranteed sunshine, fabulous service, excellent value for money, am going to book for later in the year!!
We didn't want to leave!
We stayed in the Hilton Nuweiba for 1 week 3-10th April and had a fantastic time.
The restaurants were all fantastic and the a la carte restaurant has to be tried, for the calamari alone! Everything was great at the hotel but without a doubt the staff made the holiday for us. The staff in the restaurants and bars were always so friendly and took the trouble to remember your name. The cleaning staff were also great and left wonderful creations with towels every day. The Animation team (Sherif, Ahmed and Samy) deserve a special mention as they work really hard and constantly seem to be smiling. They made a real effort to get us involved and we thought of them more as friends by the end of the week.
One point to mention is that if you can try to leave a tip for the staff - they all work really hard and deserve it. As a slight negative the rooms were a little tired but how much time do you spend in your room on holiday anyway?!
If you can't enjoy yourself here, you will struggle to have a good time anywhere in my opinion! Overall, a fantastic holiday and I cannot recommend this place highly enough!
My wife and I visited the Coral Hilton in March for what we believed would be a relaxing, hassle-free break. However we just picked the wrong place to have it. If it wasn't incredibly noisy people from Ukraine or Russia then it was the amount of drunken old men who had got tanked up from 10.30am when the bar opened.
On our first night there we were kindly kept up until 4am by the high heeled party going on in the room above. These rooms have no sound insulation and we could even hear them even going to the toilet! Nice start. After a room move things improved slightly but they still left a lot to be desired. It's true that they were kept immaculately clean but the whole hotel needs a complete refurb as its very dated and worn. True to form a massive arguement in the room next door on our last night meant that we travelled home feeling completely worn out!
On the positive side, the food and staff were excellent. The choice was superb and whether you chose the pasta, bbq, pizza or the buffet you were not left disappointed. The staff throughout the hotel were always smiling, friendly and eager to help. However, unlike most Caribbean all-ins, at the Hilton you could only eat during specified times and any food outside that incurred a cost. The gardens were also fantastic and immaculately maintained.
The beach was ok, a mix of stone and sand, had plenty of sun beds and parasols, and you were given fresh clean towels everyday. And the sea was beautifully clear. Even in mid March it was a great temperature to swim in and when it wasn't windy was also very clear. To go to this hotel and not snorkel or SCUBA dive would be a sin! If you're lucky enough to find the giant turtle grazing on the seabed it will make your day! But if you are not adventurous in that way the water at the end of the pier at night is floodlit and the array of fish to see is amazing, as we found out night after night!
For us, a couple in our early 30's, the best part of the holiday was visiting the Shisha room every night to relax and finish off the day with a hubbly-bubbly pipe and a cup of karkedeh. If drinking the night away in the cheesy nightclub is not your style then the Shisha room is the perfect getaway! I recommend the strawberry flavour.
So, would we go to the Hilton for a relaxing break again? No. Would we go back to Egypt again? Definately. We thought it was a great country full of friendly, smiley people and we are especially keen to go back and visit the historic parts of the country.
Incidentally, we travelled with Longwood Holidays who were excellent throughout our stay.
Couldn't have been any better!
Went to the Croral Hilton in Sep 04 and found it to be the best holiday ever!!!
The whole family went and have completely agreed that this holiday has been the best we have ever been on. If it wasn't the entertainment keeping us happy then it was all the delicious food. The staff were 5 star (even when my girlfried had drink poured all over her!!!). The beach and other daytime activities were fantastic. At night there was so much to do whether it was sitting in the outside bar, going for a nighttime stroll down to the beach to look at the wonderful lion fish or shopping at the local bazar's, it was all fantastic. If you have time then definately spend some time at the pier at night and take part in the trips (coloured canyon was my best!!!)
We loved it so much that we are going back for two weeks in august as we decided that the 1 week we done last year just wasn't enough.
Good things: EVERYTHING!!!!
Bad things: The flight: be prepared for 6 hrs, it's longer than you think!!!!
By the way, We travelled with longwood who were amazing!! (big thanks to Reda and team)
Very friendly resort
We went to this hotel not expecting to much as this was our first trip to an all inclusive in Eygpt. The hotel rooms were very basic and could do with a refurb especially the bathroom which I didn't feel able to have a bath in so I only use the shower and they do not have coffee and tea facitities. If you are in the rooms nearest to the bars then you could hear alot of noise after 12.oopm. We were lucky to be furthur away with very few people in our block but if you get a room near the staircase then you could here everyone coming back from their night out in the early hours of the morning.
The restaurants have a very good selection of food with the main dining room having just been refurbished. The staff all over the complex were very friendly and helpful. The all inclusive is not the same as the caribbean as their are hidden costs, eg Cocktails, shakes and some bar foods are extra, after 12.00pm all drinks are extra.
The staff on the beach entertainments were very good if you wanted to join in with a game of football or volleyball ect Very exciting matches to watch it was England V Russia all week and yes England won over the week, but we did leave George on his own to bring home the trophy! There was a play area on the beach for the children and a very good crazy golf course.
If you are thinking of going for the water sports then this I found very poor the banana boat was slow and I only saw it out twice in that week. Also the trip on the glass bottom boat was not very good only going to an area near the beach and it hovered over a little bit of coral for about 45 minutes. We walked up the beach to the coral and some of the people we meet there snorkelled out which was a much better idea.
I must say I would return to eygpt and probably go to another resort as this hotel is very much on its own and the trips are a few hours by coach each way.
My overall view is that it was an excellent place for us to meet some very nice new friends, and beening able to have a relaxing time on the beach, clean hotel, and friendly staff.
Nuweiba is the ideal place to relax and unwind in a peaceful, quiet environment surrounded by the most beautiful scenery.... the sparkling, clear deep blue seas of the Gulf of Aqaba, the majestic mountains of Sinai to the west and eastwards across the sea in Saudi Arabia, the vast golden beaches and sand dunes, the lush green of the many date palm trees and the fascinating, wandering bedouin camel herds.

From Cairo to Nuweiba
Is anyone able to help me with some information about how to get to the Ferry from Cairo?
How much would I expect to pay to go by taxi and how long would it take?
Also If I missed the ferry are there private boats I could catch instead?
RE: From Cairo to Nuweiba
More info u can search VT member Swisssinai on travel times by bus : cairo-nuweiba.
I took the east delta bus from Turgoman Station in Cairo. Bus avail in morning and evening. Journey abt 7-8hrs. Other bus like Jet Bus also available but I'm not sure which station it operates.
Its best to take the night bus and u'll be on time for the morning /afternoon ferry. No private boats available.
RE: RE: From Cairo to Nuweiba
A taxi would cost you from 250 - 400 egyptian pounds - the bus maybe 60 or 70. The bus arrives very close to the Nuweiba Port entrance.
There are usually three Nuweiba - Aqaba ferries.... one fast ( takes just over an hour ) and two larger slower ones ( 3 -4 hours ). These days the fast one is operating twice a day in both directions due to the busy season but usually just once per day. The others usually also once per day. Thus if you miss the fast one you ll just have to wait for the slower one or spend the night in Nuweiba. The old Sayedeen Hotel has opened again after being closed for several years and it is walking distance from the port. Simple but clean rooms and a nice beach with lovely views over the mountains behind Maizena.
RE: From Cairo to Nuweiba
Thanks for the help! After looking at what Nuweiba has to offer I have completely changed my travel plans to be able to stay a day or two there before catching the Ferry to Aqaba. Do you think there will be any problems with getting a hotel in January?
RE: RE: From Cairo to Nuweiba
Check my pages on Nuweiba as well as search for VT member Swisssinai. He's base in Nuweiba. I've stayed at his hotel, was very nice beside Hilton Nuweiba.
