  • New pool - Sharm El Sheikh
    New pool
    by tissie
The hotel was spotlessly clean, very welcoming and the staff couldn't do enough to make our stay a good one.

In-keeping with all the hotels in the region the Dreams Vacation is "low-rise", the accommodation is only two storeys high, an improvement on skyscraper hotels in other holiday hotspots.

Good buffet meals in the main restaurant (other restaurants available but we didn't use them).

Lovely pools, including the newest and quietest one, plenty of sunbeds and parasols.

Access to the sea for snorkelling along the edge of the coral reef by jetty from the beach at the Dreams Beach end of the complex (a freeshuttle service runs if you can't manage the walk in the sunshine).

Entertainment was a bit "cheesy" and a lot of it was in Russian or Italian but that didn't bother us as we didn't want to do anything after dinner except apply aftersun and relax!

We would definitely recommend this hotel to others planning a trip to Sharm El Sheikh - it made everything so relaxing.

The hotel has just been extended and two new pools built. These are at the quietest end of the complex and there are four-poster sunbeds - delicious if you are on your honeymoon!

The hotel has a gym and spa complex, or massages by the pool if you prefer.

If you stay at the Dreams Vacation you have the use of all the facilities at its sister hotel, the Dreams Beach, on your a-i package (and it's cheaper to book at the Dreams Vacation!). The Dreams Beach is more family oriented and busier, most of the activities take place there.

  • I took every precaution but had diarrhoea for most of the holiday, it was only the last day I didn’t have to run to the toilet every hour or so. I believe topless bathing should not be allowed around the pool. I was appalled at the sight of women’s breasts just after breakfast (Especially the 60 year old’s ). However the animation team, Massage master’s and trip seller’s targeted topless women which just reinforced their perception of European women as slags.
This is unbelievable, in temperatures of 38 c plus we were served tiny glasses of soft drinks and warm water, We asked for larger glasses but were told the manager said no.
The Animation Team shows were appallingly bad; the only good nights were the Fakir show which lasted about 20 minutes. The belly dancer and the whirling dervish were good but we had to pay an extra £8.50 to see them at the Bedouin buffet.
The quality of the food was good but Breakfast was poor (Beef Bacon, chicken sausage!)Mashed Potato, salad and peppers for Breakfast!! Dinner and evening meals were very repetitive and not much choice at all.
My Place - why do men have to wear long trousers in My Place? While we were eating another couple came in and were told he could not come in without long trousers he hadn’t brought any on holiday (you wouldn’t if you knew the temperatures were 35 c plus!)
From the first morning of our holiday we discovered if you want a sun bed you have to be up early we therefore did not have a lie in on holiday up at 7.00am each morning.
The trip to Ras Mohamed was not published correctly at all it should be advertised as for Divers or experienced snorkellers only. As I am neither I found myself stuck on a boat all day in searing heat and could not even go in the sea to cool off as the boat only stopped to drop Divers/ snorkellers off and pick them up. We were advised before going on this trip there would be places for less experienced snorkellers but there was not.
This spoilt the day for me and my husband and as for Ras Mohamed all I saw was deep sea water.

The quad biking was an excellent trip
There were lots of nice desserts but feel there should have been more main meals instead.
The beer actually tasted nice and was cold but again small glasses. In My Place restaurant they actually served beer in pint glasses we asked if we could take these into the reception Bar and were told no. We went to a Bar in Fantasia (the local shopping centre) and purchased a pint glass at a cost of £5!! We took this back to the hotel and they filled it with beer no problem.
