The hotel was fine but nothing spectacular, and I think that there are some nicer hotels, but given how late I left it to book, I didn't get a huge amount of choice.
On the plus side, the room was right on the beach with a sea view, and very clean.
When booking there were two options - full board or bed and breakfast. I chose the bed and breakfast and am glad I did, as there are plenty of restaurants to choose from in the main town (but this involves a taxi drive), and if you don't fancy the ride into town, you can get room service at reasonable rates (although it is a bit slow). Breakfast is a bit of a mad rush with so many divers trying to get fed and watered before heading out on boats for the day.
The entertainment left quite a bit to be desired. Avoid at all costs!
Unique Quality: Strangely this hotel was mainly Italian speaking!
There are a couple of pools, but music is constantly blaring and the staff insist on poolside activities such as egyptian dancing and pool volley ball.
The sporting facilities are good, with tennis and squash courts and a gym.
There are a few bars and cafes, but opening times are a bit eratic.
The hotel has a beauty centre, with jacuzzi and sauna and offers different types of massage, although the full range of beauty treatments is not available.
The Holiday Inn has its own dive centre run by Mister Diver.
