Sharm el sheikh was great. It is a nice sort of resort town by the red sea. The beaches are beautiful. Many people go diving there. I went in January and the weather was great! The shopping was cheap and good. There are many outdoor cafe's where you enjoy something to drink and smoke the hookah. You have to try it if your there...it is a good atmoshphere and the shisha tastes great. They had a variety of restaurants there, so you can have a choice of different foods. There are many clubs and bars there, so nightlife is fun. There is also a hardrock cafe there that turns into a club at night..lots of inexpensive gold of course...many many jewelry shops.
There are A LOT of perfume shops. They suck you in by telling you they want you to go to their shop and just look, so you go and then they offer you tea, and tell you that it is rude not to drink it. So after you drink tea they want you to buy perfume. We ended up buying some perfume at one shop and that was it. We didn't want to be rude, so later after being pressured into going into the shops just to go drink tea, we realized they got mad at us for not buying anything. make your life easier, go to one perfume shop just to experience it and if they invite you for tea, just tell them NO, or better yet, ignore them. They also may ask you to sign their book, as a friend...(I don't know why) That is also to get you in their perfume shops.
