Sol Verginia Hotel - Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt: Pleasantly Surprised
Sol Verginia is perfect for the budget minded traveler. It consists of two-story, bungalow-style white washed buildings which gleam as you pull up infront of them. Reception is cosy with a bar to the right. The rooms are HUGE. You will have more room than you know what to do with. Mini bars are really just refrigerators as they are empty, so you can use them to store your own water, beer or wine. The hotel doesn’t hassle you for bringing in outside food/drink provided you don’t flaunt it. The bathroom is also a good size and is need of re-grouting but it is spotless and the high pressure shower and HOT water were heavenly. There is a blowdryer in the bathroom and a safe in the room.
The rooms built around the pool are prime real estate as you can sit out on your balcony and enjoy the fun, but the disadvantage is that anyone having a drink or dancing near the little dj area can see right into your room. The drapes are disappointingly heavy so if you’re inside and want privacy, it gets a bit depressing and dark. The pool area is fantastic! It’s well-kept and very pretty and there's lots going on. Water-robics starts every day at 11am and is lots of fun. At night, the local dj spins some tunes and it’s a party right there at the hotel. This ends at midnight. If you’re in one of the further buildings, you can barely hear the music at all. The hotel beach is down an off-putting dirt road in the middle of a construction site but the beach itself is good. The hotel runs a free shuttle to and from the beach.
There are only two English channels as most of the guests seem to be Russian and a mix of other nationalities. There's no internet café; there may be wifi. There is one computer in the lobby that they let you use. Room service is available and the laundry service is prompt and flawless. Did not have any food here, not even breakfast but from reading other people’s comments on various sites, the food here seems to be a major disappointment. If so, skip the meal plan (i.e NO All Inclusive, or B&B) and just get the room. There are lots of good restaurants in Sharm and a mini mart directly across the street from the hotel to get basics.
Personal note: This hotel is NOT rated highly on Tripadvisor but, it was a last minute trip and I decided to take a chance. I was very pleasantly surprised and would stay here again in a heartbeat. If you’re looking for a basic + hotel, spacious, clean room, with an awesome pool scene, nice staff, all at very good value for money then stay here and eat out.
Great pool area, huge rooms

Cataract Sharm Resort: Cheap, Clean, and Comfortable!
I stayed in Na'am Bay at the Cataract Hotel in March 2005.
The rooms were simple, very comfortable, and very affordable compared to other resorts around town. Since all we needed was a clean room and a good night's sleep, the hotel was perfect.
The room rate when I stayed was 35 Euros/night including breakfast.
Breakfast was a bit unimaginative, basically the same every morning with boiled eggs, croissiants, cheese & meat slices, and fresh cucumbers/tomatos.
If you are looking for a luxury hotel, the Cataract is not for you...but if you are just looking for a clean and comfortable room, the hotel definitely fits the bill :)
The coolest part of the hotel was that the staff left really neat little towel creations on our beds almost every day.
There is a large pool in the courtyard of the hotel.
I heard some people complaining in the lobby of the noise in the rooms located near the Hard Rock Cafe but neither I nor my friend heard a thing while we were there...could just be we were tired after diving?!

Falcon al Diar: Cheap, Clean, and Comfortable!
The best way to describe the hotel was cheap, clean, and comfortable...just perfect for someone who spends their time on a dive boat or out on the town! The room including breakfast was 35 Euros/night...a real deal considering that all we needed was a clean bed to sleep in at night since as divers the rest of our time was spent on the dive boat, at the dive center, at the bar, or eating out!
Breakfast is buffet-style with basically the same food each morning but since there is a good variety, you don't get sick of it after a couple of days. A few of the staples were hard-boiled eggs, crossiants, cheese & meat slices, and sticky sweets.
The staff was quite friendly and more than happy to help confirm plane reservations or pass messages to friends.
The courtyard houses a very nice little pool with comfortable padded beds to lay on.
The best place to exchange money, Thomas Cook, is located right outside the lobby door. And if you have too much cash, you can safely leave your belongings in one of the safes in the hotel lobby.
There is a small internet cafe just outside the hotel. Go out the door, turn right and go into the next small hallway. The cost is minimal and you can also purchase phone cards.

Sealife Resort: Lovely place to stay
I Stayed all inclusive at the Sealife resort at Nabq which is about 15 minutes drive from Naama bay. The only poeple i wouldn't recommend this to would be those looking for good intertainment as this aint up to much. Myself and my dad made our own entertainment along with people we met. Other than that this hotel was amazing. It's rooms were spotless, the pool was spotless, the beach was spotless, infact the whole place was spotless. The staff were realy friendly. The snorkeling at the beach was absolutely fantastic where the fish were all kinds of illuminous colours. I realy enjoyed the free food although i did hear others complain. The 2 resturaunts where you have to pay for the food were absolutely fantastic. The only complaint i would make is that the free beer was only served into very small glasses and at 1 glass at a time. All in all i recommend this hotel to anyone

Creatative Mexicana: 2006 - Mexicana Pool amd Gardens
The gardens in the hotel were excellent very well kept and the two pools where also very nice.
This is the smaller pool in the hotel and a little quiter than the large one although there is a swim up bar in the other pool. We never had a problem getting a sunbed although like any where you go some people put there towles out first thing and then you dont see them untill after lunch.
Every evening a man came around with a big blowing machine to kill off all the mozzies make sure to close your doors and windows, he usually came around about 6.00pm.

The pool at the hotel is great for families. Theres no such entertainment during the day but there is a net in the pool for volley ball.

I think it's the case with all the hotels that the cleaning staff like to make animals or birds out of your towels and bed linen!
We thought it was a fantastic idea and tipped well at the end of the week cos it made us laugh after a hard day in the sun!

Hotel Rosetta Tropicana: A lovely place to stay...
Myself & my best friend stayed in this lovely hotel just last week. We went B&B so we could get out & about during the day/evening & sample the local cuisine. Our breakfasts were superb. Everything you could ever want...our personal favourites were the freshly made-before-your-eyes pancakes with delicious hot chocolate sauce :)
I have to say I did get a nasty bout of food poisoning but whether it came from the hotel or a restaurant, i'll never know! My friend was fine though, & we ate the same things. I must just have a weak stomach!
The hotel was SUPER clean. We came in one morning at about 4.30am & the cleaners were "brasso"-ing everything, scrubbing the swimming pool tiles, you name it...they cleaned it!
Our room cleaners (Moustafa & Moustafa) were incredibly diligent...making sure everything was sparkling, folding up our pyjamas, tidying up our massive mess & even bringing us freshly picked flowers one day!
This reflects the feel of Sharm el-Sheikh as a whole really. I didn't see any dirt/mess at any time during our holiday...(well, there are a few nutshells on the floor of the camel bar!). The hotel did all the maintence/building works at night time so you don't have to witness it & if work is needed to be done during the day, huge rug type things are put up so you don't have to see the mess!
Generally a fantastic place to stay. Everything is done for you, the staff are so friendly and desperate to make sure everything is perfect for you.
The three swimming pools are of a good size with lovely comfy sun loungers! Although we didnt actually find the free beach that belongs to the hotel, we just went to the Gafy Beach which is straight over the road.
All you need to do is nip through the Hilton hotel to get to the centre of na'ama bay, we never needed to use taxis/buses for going to town.

Sharm Life Hotel: Sharm Life in Sharm-el-Sheikh
I stayed in Sharm Life for 1 week and that was arranged by my travel agency. It's a 3star hotel, only 10km away from downtown, but it's a walking distance from the Old Market. The hotel is relatively new and the rooms are clean and spacious. The bathrooms are small however but have running hot water. Every room has telephone, A/C, TV and minibar. If you leave a tip on your pillow for the cleaning staff, don't be surprised to see your towel looking like some animal or a flower upon your return to the room :))) The staff of the hotel is very nice and they all speak more than one foreign language. There is a bar, restaurant and a small shop within the hotel premises. The hotel has its own beach and the transportation to get there is provided twice a day for free. There is also a van running between the hotel and downtown Naama Bay twice a day for a small charge.
As seen on the picture, the hotel has a very nice swimming pool and lots of chaise-lounges around it. What I really liked about Sharm Life is that it wasn't too big and so the people staying there can all become friends quite quickly. Another thing is that it's only 2 storeys and makes it a lot easier to run between your room and the pool. There is a small grocery shop across the street from the hotel, so you can always fill up your water supply.

Shark's Bay Bedouin Home & Dive Club: A good deal in Sharm
When I was in Sharm recently, I stayed at Shark's Bay (I think it was considered to be in Naama Bay). Having its own nice beach, there is a house reef to snorkel or dive, just steps from the sand at the beach. With a couple general stores, a handful of restaurants (all with the exact same menu!), and some touristy shops, it's got pretty much all you'll need.
We liked the Pizza place down by the dive shop at Shark's Bay the best for food and service (although pretty much everything comes with 'chips')!
For Sharm, apparently it's a pretty good deal, 35 EU per night for a double air conditioned room, including breakfast. You can actually stay for about half that amount, if you're willing to forego the A/C and share a bathroom.
