Echo village (al fallahi): Enjoy nature in Sharm
It was a wonderful stay. If you are a couple then go to this village resort. It has a pure Egyptian style with a frensh taste of the place. Simple, unique, quite and so far from the crowd.
It is all build out of wood with no TVs or refrigirators. Just enjoy nature and simplicity .
There is a nice swimming pool and candels at night everywhere.

Tropicana Rossetta Hotel: Not luxoury but enough for what I was looking for!
The Hotel is situated in Naama Bay, in the main road that goes to Sharm old town.
The beach is 5 minutes walking even that is the public beach.
The hotel has it own beach, situated 15 minutes by bus. Every hour there is a bus that takes you to the other hotel.
It has 180 rooms with air-con, TV, phone and a small balcony. The hotel is quite popular with the tour operators who send groups there. They also have a night club 'Black House' .
It has 4 pools (one for diving).
The hotel offers rooms, apartments and villas. We stayed in an apartment. Was big enough for 4-5 people.
They have also 3 diferents restaurants: Italian, Mexican and Egyptian and the main restaurant. The food is really good!!
In the hotel there are some souvenirs shops. They will try to sell you anything! You know how they are!
In the egyptian restaurant (in fact is a Haima) there is a show (belly dance) every night at 22.30. You can smoke some sheesha. Apple flavour is the most common.
They also have an internet cafe. You always will pay 10 egytptian pounds. not matter if you are 1 minute or one hour! I always payed the same!

Rosetta Hotel: Rosetta Hotel
It's a reasonable budget hotel and a lot bigger than you would expect it to be looking at the front of it.
I counted at least 4 swimming pools in the hotel, there is also a night club, internet cafe, shops, a bar and most of the things you would need from a hotel including a cash machine at the front.
I wasn't impressed with the standard of food served at breakfast and by the end of the week I had decided to sleep for an extra 30 minutes instead of eating. Apart from that, everything was great.

Club El Faraana Reef: Italian Club Hotel
Club El Faraana Reef
This season Sharm-El-Sheikh was visited with Italians and Russians mainly (4 years ago there were very many German tourists, but now I did not see 'em at all).
In Faraana Club there were about 2/3 of Italians, 1/3 - Russians and a few Polish tourists.
I believe we were lucky to get into mainly Italian Hotel, as we could have full relax on a beach - the "white noise" around was in unknown language and we did not notice it. :)
Great beach with coral reef
Three swimming pools - big with fontains and artificial waves, small for children and another big with springboard. All with bars.
Diving Center (Italian speaking instructors only).

Hotel Namma Bay: great value
The hotel Namma Bay is right in the heart of everything. Within a five minute walk you will see all the bars and restaraunts as well asthe shops and the small harbour where all the dive boats opporate from. You really couldn't ask for a better location. The rooms are great, the food is great and the staff are very helpfull.
A nice large pool with a pool bar so you don't have to walk to get a beer - just swim!

Oasis Hotel, Na'ama Bay: Cosy hotel at the edge of the desert
If you don't like to go to one of the large resorts or hotels, the smaller Oasis Hotel was a good alternative with all its rooms on the ground floor. The first time we came to Na'ama Bay we enjoyed our stay here. We had really good memories, so inn 2007 we came back to check the place.
The beloved central area of the hotel at the edge of the desert was a disaster. The nice bedouin tent, where you could have a rest, a drink, a tea or waterpipe in a very relaxing atmosphere 11 years before was gone. Though also the view at the desert was disappeared, the place itself has still the possilblity to become again the same relaxed and cosy place after some maintenance of the garden and renewal of the buildings. Let's see what will happen in the future.

Oasis Hotel, Na'ama Bay: Splendid view at the desert
The first time in Sharm el Sheikh, we stayed in the Oasis Hotel. This small hotel was a very cosy and peacefull place, from where we had a splendid view at the desert. You could walk straight from your room into the desert. And if you cross the Peace Road, you are within a few minutes at the beach and the Na'ama Bay boulevard. We hired a room with a bath for 40 $ (breakfast included). There were also very cheap reed huts with shared bathrooms, mostly hired by students coming for scubadiving.
In 2007 we came to check if the hotel is still there, because along the road you seen huge hotel complexes everywhere. We were surprised this small hotel was still there, so we entered and looked around and were shocked. The reception and restaurant were out of order. The rooms were still in use, maybe not by tourists, but by Egyptian people wroking in the booming tourist industry. We asked the people of the pharmacy in the same building. They don't know what the owner will do with the hotel.
So maybe the next time, it will be in the same bad or even worse state, or sold to a big company fro a huge hotelcomplex or shoppingmall or who knows renewed to the same cosy small hotel it ever was.

Cabanas for Massages on the Red Sea Cliffs: Massage at the Ritz
I just simply had to post this. In addittion to being an amazing hotel, you have the opportunity to get massages from small white cabanas that overlook the cliffs. DRAWBACK: It is hot as hell and you are outside withsome massaging you. I imagine you'd get even hotter, yes?! Oh well... the luxury of it all!!!

Hilton Sharm Waterfalls
A lovely hotel right on the Ras Umm Sid headland. You can snorkle straight from the beach over a walkway to the drop -off. The fish are amazing - huge Parrot fish and many swarms of brightly coloured fish. A unique feature is, because it is a conservation area together with Ras Mohammed the fish are very tame and will swim right up to you - completely unpeturbed
Large rooms and balconies with excellent views. Good Buffets with lots of fruits and salads

I stayed up at Hilton, but...
I stayed up at Hilton, but make sure to book in the right Hotel as there are 2 Hiltons in Nama'a Bay, one right on the sea side and the other at the back. Choose the seaside one, great difference!
