Naama Bays best

Excellent hotel, excellent location, close to naama bay. couldnt fault it. Room, reception, private beach, beautiful grounds and staff all made our stay 5 star comfort.

I hated leaving the hotel too good, will definetly come back to the hotel and sharm el sheikh.

Unique Quality: everything, sea view, beach, pool, food and staff.

sharm el sheiks best

i would recommend this hotel to anyone , i went here in 2004 , and returned in 2006 , we had a fabulous poolview room , it was exceptionally clean , the cleaners did your room every day ,unless told by youselves not to , its a buffet style menu for breakfast , everything was fresh every morning , i always found it very relaxing round the pool area ,at night time there was not much to do in and around the hotel , but a 10 min walk or a 5 min taxi ride and your in namma bay , and there,s loads goin on near enough right thru the night , theres fabulous places to eat , hard rock cafe , the danner steak house , ziggaloni,s and many more , the ony one that a few complaints were made about was the mexican , and it was awful , well i never usually return to a place ,and ive been to the marriott twice now and am going again july 2007 , so go on book , you wont regret a fabulos holiday at the marriott mountain view hotel .

Unique Quality: the pool is very clean , the views are fabulous , infact i adore egypt full stop ,

More about Marriott Sharm el Sheikh Beach Resort

1. High budget - Sheaphard's...

by Sheri_Z

1. High budget - Sheaphard's Hotel or
the Marriott .

2. Lower budget - Cosmopolitan. Off Ta'lat Harb street. It has nice fading '40s decor with caged elevator.
Marriott, highest, Sheaphard's also high,

Cosmopolitan moderate 1. Sheaphard's is smaller but has a nice feeling, and ask for a room with a Nile view. Has a very good Chinese/Indian restaurant with a fountain and extremely unique music (you will never hear a qanun player trying to play Chinese music anywhere else) Also a good meeting place & for coffee.

Marriott is more of a standard modern huge hotel complex. Pleasant to sit out in the courtyard restaurant & with all standard features.

Cosmopolitan offers a decent breakfast with your room. Old-fashioned but clean, there's a bar which was hot in the '40s but maybe avoid now.

Marriott Zamalek

by zuhur about Marriot Zamalek

When I lived in Egypt, I did NOT stay in hotels, but one can pay by the day to visit the swimming pool at the Marriott and some others. (very pricey) However, once I left Egypt and needed to come back, and did not want to stay with friends or relatives (great too! but sometimes one needs to do things in town) I stayed at the Marriott Zamalek for the location and the lovely atmosphere of its garden. You are right in the city of Cairo, just across from the downtown area, but the interior plaza of the hotel has a garden restaurant and pool area.

Two towers have rooms, and one can also stay in the slightly darker rooms by the pool. Swimming at night! There is a nightclub and casino, however I'm not into all that. The hotel can be very crowded during the tourist season, more so with Arab tourists. However, that also makes it very lively. There is a business office; one can also pay to connect to the internet from the rooms.

Down the street a very short walk is a cute outlet of Nomad - nice textiles and bags. And in back of the hotel is
the Islamic Museum. Down the street is the Anglican Church (looks like a pineapple) where our Cairo Choral Society used to (and probably still does) practice. Down 26th of July is a nice bookstore - Diwan and an art gallery

Luxury between poverty

by Moscho about Mariott Hotel Cairo

One of the best hotels we've ever stayed! We were a little scared about cleaning less of traveling to Egypt with the kids, so we insisted for a good hotel. Marriott in Cairo was really outstanding. It had so many facilities, was extremely clean, and the breakfast had the biggest variety and quality I’ve ever seen. The staff was very friendly and kind. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Classy hotel

by Katrinarpi about Marriott Beach, Mountain side

Very good service and high standards, their breakfast buffé was wonderful! We never tried the dinner buffé tho, cos we wanted to get out inot town and also we heard from some others that is wasnt very good... They have a gym on their twin hotel next by where we could go for free! Not a big one, but they had all the neccesary things so I was happy.

Luxury, golf, spa, relax, fantastic

by Atenaglia about JW Marriott

The hotel is close to the airport (15' taxi, ca. 50L.E.). It is like an oasis in the chaos of Cairo. Here anything is at its best, the lobby, the bar, all restaurants (7 I think), the gym, the spa, the executive lounge, the atmostphere, the rooms, the service, the spa.
There is no way you can visit this hotel and not think of when you will come back next time.

Suggest to try the Mandara spa, an original Thai massage and treatment company from Thailand.

Suggest to try the golf club as well. The Mandara spa is the best massage I ever got.

The spa pool is fantastic. Try a swim in the night, moving from the indoor to the outdoor (under the sky) just swimming the 50m. long spa pool. Just one of the 5 pools. I liked in particular the one with the artificial waves and sand beach.

Luxury is all around for more than acceptable prices.

We stayed at the Cairo...

by NotEnufTime

We stayed at the Cairo Marriott, in Zamalek (pictured here). Zamalek is an island in the Nile. There are two towers. We stayed in the Gezirah Tower, once with a view of the Gezirah Sporting Club to one side, and then with a view of the Nile. The rate for foreigners was US$120 a night (Egyptian citizens get much lower rates).

We also stayed at the Intecontinental in Hurghada at the Red Sea, which is very nice, a full-service resort. They picked us up at the airport with no advance request. They have a little attended playground for children that's open in the late afternoons. They also have a small health club with minimal amenities, and there are nominal fees to use it even for hotel guests. There are three or four restaurants. One is a breakfast and dinner buffet with a reasonable selection of food and local interpretations of foreign cuisines. Another is a seafood specialty restaurant, which was good except on this particular occasion they got my order wrong and my family was finished their dinners before mine finally arrived. We had lunch daily at the poolside grill. This hotel is surprisingly child-friendly for an upscale resort. They have a large pool no deeper than 1.7 meters, with a large shallow end excellent for kids; my 2-year-old could stand on the bottom without being over his head. There is also a small baby pool right next to it that is very shallow. Everything is well maintained.
Marriott was US$120 for a room with two double beds.

Intercontinental was US$150 which included breakfast and dinner (we booked through Thomas Cook in Cairo).

We stayed here in 2000 on the non-beach side (across the street from the beach) and it was really great. The staff is super friendly, the food was good. It's cheaper than the beach side and still very nice.

Thanks, we are on the beach side, so hopefull it will be just as good! :)

Hi
We haven't stayed there yet but it is booked in as part of our Indus Travels (a Canadian operator) private Egypt tour itinerary for the 3 nights 2nd - 5th Dec.
We are in a Sea View room on the Beachside.
I've queried with the operator & they say they've had good feedback from their customers staying there. Hopefully it's fine. It looks to be in a nice central location.
It doesn't seem to rate as high as others on Trip Advisor - perhaps not as well known.
When are you off?
Anita
