Radisson Golden Resort by eli101 This is now called RADISSON GOLDEN RESORT NOT SAS G R which is on the beach side, older and not AI. I would say that it is a very nice hotel but not a proper resort hotel as in the main as these have shops many restaurants and bars and are on a large site, but it is new and trying to get it right. The rooms are all very spacious with 2 oversize single or 1 King size bed in the premium rooms. If you get Premium room you are on the 3rd floor and get a sea view. The 2 pools are great, one of which is heated. The hotel has its own bit of beach and AI bar across the road. The food is all buffet, and is ok but a little dull in the evenings. We decided to eat in Naama at night. The inside bar also has 'entertainment' but it depends what your used to. There is a small amount of building still going on at the rear, should be finished for this summer, which is going to be a bedouin tent for the kids entertainment in the evening and small units which Im told are to be shops, so that should improve things. There is a small but well equipped gym, ask for directions, got good new stuff and a nice jacuzzi (inc) steam and sauna and massage rooms (extra), and tennis courts at the rear of hotel. There is a lot of builiding going on in sharm area and across the road, but it didnt disturb us apart from one day. The staff are very friendly and always smiling and saying hello. The hotel has a bus to Naama which is 15LE each return (about £1.50) takes 30mins or taxis 50LE one way (£5) takes 10mins! Personally I wouldnt stay in this hotel again, but we would come back to Sharm , but for 1 week not 2. Its a great place to visit in April when Europe is too chilly. Main problems with hotel- only one beer pump available round pool, bar service too slow in the evening, not enough variety of food in the buffet at dinner, and not enough bars.
The pools are great and are not too deep, and have large shallow areas. The rooms are well equipped and very spacious. Manager and staff very friendly and helpful. Theme: HotelComparison: about averagePhone: 206-971-0315Directions: 10 mins from Airport turning right on the main road.

Room v big & roomy. Staff kept it exceptionally clean. Rec a Marine/Sea view rm-extra but worth it. Food was ok. Some places better than we expected & some worse. Do not rec Tradewinds rest. The Brasserie v good, ate there 2x- it's most expensive but service was brill and food gorgeous. Pizza at the Grotto v good. Beach & pool bar serve sandwiches and such throughout the day, all pretty average. We only had the buffet at breakfast, & did not eat there for other meals. It looked ok, but we were not keen to deal w/ trying to get our food with everyone running around at the same time. Really only a couple of issues with hotel. One that the room towels are so hard they can scratch your skin. Pool towels are not like this, so not sure why they are not laundered the same way. Other issue being the bar/staff. Some of them do try, but they do not know how to make proper drinks. Do not make mistake of getting mixed cocktail as you will be charged a fortune & there is virtually no alcohol in it. The bar staff needs to be trained to reflect the standards of where the guests are coming from. Weak drinks and slow bar staff just do not work at this type of resort. Billard table in lobby you can hire & it's rarely used. Not v. expensive either. The staff were v accomodating when we want ed to change rooms from 2 single beds to a king size. Booking must've been mixed up, but they resolved it v next day and moved us. We were able to have a late check out which was very helpful. All in all I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again. Next time I will bring a private stash of liquor though. (you can't by this in town, some places sell it, but it's all pseudo stuff, like Fineland vodka and Gordoon's gin, instead of Finlandia and Gordon's) Hotel is near the airport, and occ. you will have a v low flying jet zoom over you, but for the most part this was not v often. There is also a lot of construction going on, but the side we were on already has an hotel that is open, so we were not disturbed by it.
Pool was beautiful and very refreshing. Kept extremely clean. We saw a guy vacuuming it almost every minute of the day. Beach was nice but you could fry sitting out on it so we stayed by the pool. Lots of shade near pool for those that don't want to burn to a crisp (as surprisingly many seemed to want to do) Theme: HotelPrice: US$120-180 » Currency ConverterComparison: more expensive than averagePhone: 206-971-0315Directions: Nabq area, 10 mins from airport.
