More about Regency Plaza Resort

Loved the Regency Plaza Nabq Bay

by TripAdvisor Member cmonica53

after reading some of the earlier reviews i was a bit worried. but when we arrived at the hotel it was beautiful. our cases were took up to our rooms for us and our room was quite big with lovely sea views.
the food was ok and well presented it would become a bit repetitive if you stayed 2 weeks. yes some people had dodgy stomachs but we were ok i do not know if its the oils that the food is cooked in. but nearly e/one who goes to eygpt does suffer aa little. see the rep and he writes simething in eygptian and take it to the pharmacy.
all of the staff were very helpful and we tipped at the end of our stay. fruit juice on a morning was on a tap to help yourself.

for what we paid i thought the hotel was goos value for money. there are 3 swimmimg pools and a lovely private beach. do not take towels as there are fresh ones daily for the pool and beach

i would def., stay there again

Best Hotel in Egypt

by TripAdvisor Member LittleStu

Just came back last week from Regency Plaza Hotel, the hotel and Egypt are a fantastic place to go on a relaxing holiday me and my wife enjoyed the great beach which is not far from the hotel at all and it is always nice to have a bar on the beach serving drinks, the room was very large to my surprise was kept clean through out our holiday, the main restaurant is very nicely decorated the food was one of the best I have ever had on holiday I would recommend this hotel to everyone that goes to stay in Egypt over any other.

Don't be put off by the reviews

by TripAdvisor Member Kingy247

I read the reviews on this sight before going to the hotel and I was worried about what I would find but I needn’t have been as it was nothing what I expected it to be.
With regards to the food, the breakfast was good with lots of fruit, bread and Jam for toast, rolls, cereals, croissants (all kinds, plain, iced and chocolate), pancakes and a range of other things to try if you fancied some Egyptian food. The lunch and dinner in the main restaurant was not too great. We instead choose to eat in the Seafood restaurant which is virtually on the beach for lunch. There they do hotdogs, burgers, pizzas and chips all for free if you are fully inclusive. Whenever we have gone to an all inclusive hotel we have always eaten out at night to experience the night life and the main town. The meals in Naama Bay were so cheap we were spending £15.00 per person this was for a 3 course meal, beer and cocktails and the food was absolutely lovely!!! There are clubs, bars and shops in the town for everyone to enjoy. We booked a cab from the hotel and it cost us £13.00 return, and the cab driver let us call him on his mobile to come and pick us up when we were ready to come home! We did eat at the restaurant on the complex a couple of times and the food was ok – it does depend what you like and if you are willing to try different food. They are also planning to build an Italian restaurant on site in the near future.
The complex itself is beautiful with two pools one heated and one cold – obviously this time of year the heated one is recommended. All the time you see people cleaning the pool and maintaining the complex, it is so clean. The building works we never heard the whole week we were there.
The beach was 2 minutes from our room and the sand is lovely and the sea is clear, with camel and horses rides available. There is also a jetty to the right of the hotel about a 10 minute walk along the beach where you can scuba drive off the end. There were available beds all day and free towels for the pool and the beach and the pool and beach bar supply drinks through out the day without any problems.
The rooms were ok they were spacious but not really 5 star – but clean, fresh and still nice to stay in. The cleaner who we tipped when arriving made sure every day the room was clean and looking beautiful. He even put some cut flowers in there one day, and arranged the pillows and towels into a lovely arrangement which made a lovely change. There are free electronic safes in the room also for your piece of mind for your belongings.
The staff at the complex are fantastic you could not fault them in any way. They are so friendly and can not do enough for you. They are so genuinely happy which makes a lovely change. There are also shops on site including a pharmacist just in case.
We also took part in the excursions which are highly recommended the Jeep Safari was great fun and worth the money – my boyfriend also went on a driving day which he greatly enjoyed.

If you are planning to go to this hotel, don’t be put off it may not be 5 star in every aspect but it is a lovely stay and I know that I had a fantastic time.

Brill holiday,great hotel

by TripAdvisor Member sootycat/staffs

Got back just over a week ago from staying at the Regency plaza.Had a fantastic time weather great the hotel was above my expectations, as like others ,had read bad reports. The hotel was exceptionally clean ,the staff from the gardeners, cleaning staff, waiters and everyone else were always very polite and helpful. The rooms were kept clean, linen and towels changed daily. The food was excellent maybe not to everyone's taste but remember you are in a foreign country catering for maybe five different nationalities, something for everyone.Sweets and desserts to die for.Never heard any building work during our stay, still a few blocks of rooms to finish but over all brilliant hotel and look forward to going again next year, two weeks next time.

Has anybody stayed in the Regency Plaza in Nabq Bay (Not the Hyatt)?
Me and my girlfriend are struggling to find any reviews on this accommodation.

Also what is Nabq Bay Like, is it easy to travel to and from Namma Bay and other resorts?

Any information will be a real help.

Many thanks

Check my answer few questions below. The hotel is still unfinished but one of Polish travel agents put people there already.
It is ca. 20-25km from Naama Bay, most of hotels offers free bus there 2-3 times a day. You can also take taxi.
If you plan to go out every night, do not choose Nabq Bay - there are no restaurants, bars, shops etc. Everything is in Naama Bay and Old Sharm.
Hovever, if you expect relaxing holidays with swimming, snorkelling and sun-bathing - then Nabq Bay is really OK. It has sandy beaches with easy access to the water (important if you don't like to start swimming from pier at 10m deep).

Me and my partner are also traveling to the same hotel in a few days.
We have also found it very hard to find any info on this hotel.
If you manage to find anything out,or know of cheap ways to get from the airport, would love to hear back from you.

Fun Town

by mr.small

Can anyone tell us where fun town is, it is supposedly along the Peace road?

RE: Fun Town

by MrsR30

Yes, it's on Peace Road - just up from the Regency Plaza hotel, close to the centre of Naama Bay. You can't miss it.

Royal Plaza... not Regency Plaza. Regency Plaza is in Nabq and is still under construction.

I.e. when leaving Naama Bay on the main road direction west towards Oum el Seid go up the hill and you will find the Fun Town on the left hand side about 100 yards up. Just before it on the corner of that site is a small pub called Kiss ( I think its closed at the mo ).
