Our friends stayed in Ritz. Soooooo, we have explored hotel in few loooooong visits. It would take you and me a looooot of time to tell you everything! :) You just DO NOT have to worry about anything if you are going to Ritz. It is not in Naama Bay (9km to Naama center), but this is no problem. Old market and Terrazzina beach are near (take the taxi anyway it is toooo hot for walking). There is free shuttle bus to Naama, or hotel taxi (price is fixed: 35LE = 5 euros), or ordinary taxi (do not pay more then 20LE = 3 euros) - and you are in 5-10 in Naama!

Well, we bought this as part of a package at a Last Minute travel agency in Berlin. $550 included roundtrip air and 7 nites at the Ritz. What a bargain. Rack Rate at the Ritz is probably gonna set you back $200 a nite...
Pricey as all hell - but the NICEST accomodations in all of Sharm el Sheikh. Service is impecable. Ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen, all that BS sounds hokey, but as a GUEST, you get accostomed to it! Splurge and enjoy!!!

this hotel is wonderful. Set in 100,000 square meters of lush tropical landscape with sparkling pools and cascading waterfalls on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt, The Ritz-Carlton, Sharm El Sheikh welcomes the distinguished traveler to the international diving "Mecca" of Sharm El Sheikh on the environmentally protected Red Sea. The luxury resort is easily accessible from Cairo by a 45-minute flight or 5 hours by road. It also boasts a spa with properly trained staff and 5 wonderful Restaurants which serve a range of different foods from traditional Egyption food to pool side snacks. La Luna offers italian cuisene and is said to be one of the best italians in thw whole of eygpt. All the staff were polite, friendly and helpful and the hotel was magnificent. However, i can iunderstand why people say its not up to standard with the other ritz hotels, but it dosn't come with the same price tag. overall...a truely wonderful hotel.
the pools were wonderful and we went in august and there was always a sunbead free. it was very quiet around the pool...apart from the belly dancing at one o'clock in the pool! Rooms are equiped with bath, shower and tevelvision with english channels. You don't even have to miss eastenders! Staff are very nice and keep your room tidy. they also run free shuttle buses to Namma Bay however these do get full quickly. The Pontoon Into the sea is very good and the fish are lovely. there is also a dive centre for those budding divers among you with fully trained instructers. loevely hotel and we would visit again.

We stayed here in March 2009 and had a wonderful holiday. The hotel was super and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. It is definitely on the expensive side, but well worth the extra money, and still much less than a RC in most parts of the world.
The restaurants were wonderful, which was good as it is a bit of a ride into the town. But the town was so full of vendors trying to sell stuff that it was much more pleasant to just stay at the resort. The dive shop onsite was so convenient, and the staff were so helpful with my equipment (which needed some maintenance).
We had a wonderful time and would definitely go back to this hotel.
The staff was truly outstanding. Every single person who served us was helpful and friendly and seemed genuinely to want us to have the best possible holiday.
My wife and I have just spent 11 nights at the R.C. and found the hotel to be of a very high standard in terms of the accomodation and general ambience. The staff are extremely friendly and the service is very good. The buffet dining can be a bit chaotic, particularly if there are a lot of children in the hotel and we chose to eat several times in the La Luna Italian restaurant which is excellent, however the imported wine is pricey but the Egyptian wine is drinkable. Because the hotel was fully booked there simply were,nt enough sun loungers in the pool / beach area and we found it was like Spain 15 years ago with people getting up at the crack of dawn to " reserve " loungers. The management admitted it was a problem, but be warned. The snorkelling / diving is fantastic, but otherwise there is nothing much to do. Naama Bay and Old Sharm are about 15 mins by taxi and are OK to go for curiosity. A good excursion is to St Catherines Monastery but it,s a 6am start. With hindsite 7 days would have been long enough. Looking at some of the other hotel locations we were pleased with the RC.
Everything is of a very high standard and immaculatly clean. The pool area is very good as is the " beach area " which is where some of the sun loungers are located. This is on split levels leading down to the coral reef from where you go out approx 200 yards on a pontoon to the diving / swimming area.
