Haggling
by joolssss
Just remember everything you wish to buy has a negotiable price, there are one or two shops that I came across in Fantasia that had fixed price stickers on things, but this is very unusual. Haggle for everything start as low as you can ( hubby would start at a penny!)and look to pay about a third to a half of what he first said it was worth! Just enjoy it, dont feel aggro.
Sea, desert and sky

Not only underwater territories of Ras Mohammed Natural Reserve look fabulous.
See on the deep blue & green water color, bright beige panorama of the dried up land and clear sky. I like that sort of sceneries very much :)
Tipping/Bakshish

It's expected everywhere and makes up a big part of the income of people there. Whether waiter, room attendant, taxi driver or tour bus driver, they are all expecting some tipping. Be generous, give them. Always have 1 Egyptian Pound notes with you, and give them as a tip.
When staying in the hotel, give a few pounds every second day and you can be sure of excellent service.

take a rucksack in your suitcase, its handy for putting all your swimwear in when you go to the beach, or for taking on trips. You can also then fill it up with anything that you buy over there for the way back! Sandals and closed in shoes (for coloured canyon, quad biking or st Catherines) Also a long sleeved shirt and trousers for any monasteries/temples you may visit or for protecting you from the sun. Dyrelite rehydration sachets are great to keep in your medi box, and can be a real life saver if you have had too much sun. Piriton anti hystemines for any allergies or reactions you may suffer ( kids can take them too) and of course plenty of sun lotion. usual cameras, videos, underwater camera a must! snorkel, mask and fins for definate, though you can hire them there at a reasonable cost, on our beach you could hire the lot for about 85LE for 5 days hire Beach Shoes! there are lots of sea urchins here, dont wade into the sea without beach shoes! They can be bought locally if you cannot find any at home.

One Fun is the Sun is the ever exciting is the cruise through Desert on this Dirt Bikes...it is interesting and can be adventurous if you full speed( Ur Guide should be flexible to that)..the Stop over is at a Bedouin Tent ( A fake Setup though) where you see the Local custom of Tea and Bread( Free)..The Water and Soft DRinks are over priced there so make sure you have moolah in ur pocket incase you have the urge for a drink..Another point is to cover your face else you could find yourself facing the Dirt attack.. Make sure you wear loose and Old Clothes..Also Cover yourself well to avoid stares and smiles.
