dear sir or madame, i am going to hurghada on 21st january 2006.i am going to be staying with my wife in the clubhotel aquafun in the sakkala area of hurghada
can anyone please tell me what the hotel is like , and also how far the centre of hurghada is from the hotel, and the cost if need be for a taxi from the hotel aquafun to the centre.

Me again. You certainly won't need a taxi to get around from the Aquafun.
If you turn right as you come out of the hotel, right across the road you will see Papas Bar. You are then on Sheraton Road.From there you have access to the main tourist bit - Sekalla. To go downtown (Dahar) just catch any of the white buses, they have a blue stripe, and pay 1 LE. There is also another newer part to Hurghada. From Papa's Bar, any of the buses which go UP the hill will take you to a rather lovely pedestrianised section.
The Aquafun is okay, depends what you are looking for. It has its own small beach with a diving school attached. There is plenty to see, do and eat outside the hotel though, so I am sure you won't be lost for choices.
