hotels in Hurghada

Does anybody know the following hotels: Paradiana, Samaka Beach, Desert Inn, Reemyvera, Desert Rose?
They are all 3 or 4**** hotels. I am not looking for a luxury hotel, but for a small and cosy accomodation owned by locals not international chain. I don't like huge hotels detached from the town and village. I prefer staying somewhere in "downtown" or close to it to be able to get an insight into "everyday" life.

I know Hurghada is a tourist place for package holidays. The problem is my husband had an accident and he has difficulties in walking. That's why we decided to go there to be able to "soak" his leg in the sea.
I've heard Hurghada is better than Sharm in the sense being in touch with locals. Hurghada at least is a place where locals live in contrary to Sharm which is only hotels ...

Hi!
Paradiana (Laguna) is really near Sigala (centre of Hurghada), but i think that it's only 2** hotel. Our dive club is located there, in "Paradiana". Only thing that i know :-) - beach of Paradiana is really small and there are pier for diver boats.
El Samaka and Desert Inn are located between Sigala(it's centre) and Resort Strip. It means, that you must take buss to Sigala or DownTown
El Samaka Beach is on the 1st line (near sea), but Desert Inn - on the 2nd line (you must cross the street.) Tourists from Desert Inn used the beach of El Samaka. Last March i lived in El Samaka Beach, it's 3*** hotel, everything was ok :-) Desert Inn is 3+*** or 4****
But "Reemyvera" (3***) and "Desert Rose" (5*****) are really fare away from Hurghada center :-(
If you like to be close to everyday life :-) than better choose hotels near DownTown or hotels in Sigala.
I can suggest you "Sand Beach Hotel" (3***) it's really near DownTown, hotel have nice beach with small corall reef :-)))

Hi, Just thought I would let you know that I visited the Hotel Club Aquafun in Hurghada last year and am returning again this year with more of my family. It is a relatively small hotel right on the beach, great snorkelling and is all inclusive. English though being in the minority. Hotel is situated in Sakalla, and you can walk to the many bars and shops, as they are literally just outside the door. Hope this helps.
