A great all inclusive hotel!
A great all inclusive hotel, located in one of the best parts of Hurghada.
The staff was really friendly and helpful. The food was also great but you can get a little bit tired of eating the same buffé over and over again. If you love juicedrinks you will love the ones they make here.
The rooms are big and really clean. Every room has its own fridge filled with water and sodas. It's an excellent hotel and I can't really recommend it to you.
Unique Quality: The pool is gigantic and has it's own bar. Plenty of things to do, squash, volleyboll, sauna and jacuzzi. The hotel has its own beach with is excellent. There you can try all kinds of waterports or ride a camel if you like. You can borrow beach towels from the hotel. Also you have a great view of Giftun Island.

Giftun is a beautiful island in the Red Sea off the coast of Hurghada. There are lots of companies offering boat trips out there and while it may not seem worth it , it is. I read somewhere before I went on my vacation that Giftun is awful for snorkeling. That cannot be further from the truth. The best was Giftun.
Be careful though the water is shallow and the coral high. You dont want to cut your legs on it.
Oh and a cultural reminder dont go topless on Giftun. I saw many European tourists doing this. It isnt allowed. Egypt is still a predominantly Moslem country and that should be respected.

Do not miss Giftun island! There is excellent scuba diving and snorkeling, amazing beaches and surreal scenery! The desert arises from turquoise & aquamarine waters, the sea is warm and crystal clear, submarine life is amazing... It's a pure paradise!

A day trip to Giftun Island National Park is hard to skip when you're in Hurghada - you'll probably have it offered by our travel agent, or you can arange with the boats in the harbour. The island doesn't have any vegetation so beware of the sun, but the beach is beautifull, with coral pieces and see shells sparkled on the sand.
Mahmaya Beach is a resort on one side of the Giftun, with nice beach cafe/club. It's nice because it's the only place where you can find shadow, and the view from the "hill" over it is superb.

Bigger and smaller (I forgot their names, but both are Giftun "and something" Island) Giftun Islands are just across Hurghada. Both are unsettled, which make them more exotic. On the bigger one, there is just one bar (forgot the name) and one bar, which is abandoned, but there are still its parasols. We landed in front of the abandoned one after one hour sailing from Hurghada.

URGENT: Day trip to GIFTUN ISLAND

Hi Frnds..
Next week I am travelling to Hurghada and will stay for 2ngts.
Can you please guide me how much will it cost for a day trip to Giftun Island and snorkeling??
I will reach Hurghada at night and will prefer to go on this trip in the next morning. So is it preferable to book the trip by online, or shall I get agents there at night hours who can book the trip for the next day morning??
BTW, I will be there only for a day.So is the trip to GIFTUN island the best idea?? Or is there any more intresting places to visit other than this??
Will be glad if can get contacts of the reputed local agents there.
Any type of suggestions are highly appreciated.

Hi Princess, I had a great trip..
I didn't face any problem in finding a reliable Agent there.
1st day I went to Giftun, at night I wandered around marina,enjoyed my night @ Hedkandi.Next day morning went for "glass boat" before flying to Sharm.
I am in love with Egypt, going bck2 sharm soon. :D

Awesome! Glad to hear you had a great time. And yes, I've been with travbuddy since it had like 300 members, but I keep forgetting to go over there. I don't know what kind of campaign Eric launched but the site exploded seemingly overnight. Will look for you over there.
