Smoking the waterpipe, we tried it with an apple flavour, but personally I did not like it very much.
We had most fun when my 7 years old son wanted to try this pipe. The look on his face was CRAZY !

Sharks in the red sea???????
Hi,
I am travelling soon to Hurghada, and i have read in several places about sharks in the red sea! i am travelling with my young nephews and am worried about them swimming/snorkeling in the sea......CAN SOMEONE PLEASE ADVISE?????

There's nothing to worry about specially in hurghada because there are 0% of sharks all around the city either from the beaches of the hotels or even if you go on a boat trip to one of the islands or the reefs far from the shore for snorkelling.

it is however worth remebering, from a safety and a conservation point of view, that while snorkelling over coral reefs you shouldnt touch ANYTHING. and it is a FANTASTIC hting to see!!

Well, there are sharks and sharks!!!! No great white sharks in the Red Sea area!!! But there are hammer head sharks, which pose no threath to humans! People are snorkling and diving to come across these creatures.
Never heard of a JAWS experience in the Red Sea.
So, just cool down and enjoy...

Travel Tips for Hurghada
Riding camels in the bedouine village
There is an opportunity for tourists to ride camels at the bedouine village. I have never riden a horse but I think it's much easier than riding a camel. Even when moved very slowly I had to have a strong grip in order to stay in the saddle. And when I had to get off, I would have fallen if one of the bedouines hadn't stood beside and helped me. Not pleasant at all, getting off a camel!
Italian restaurant Giardino
A beautiful Italian restaurant in the center of Hurghada, with great service and friendly staff. it's also cheap, clean and the food is tasty. You can take shisha (water pipe) there as well, and only drinks if you wish.
NIce afternnon cake shop
This bakery is located near the souq and just down the street from the chinese restaurant. The cake is tasty generally. Each piece costs 3 EGP. I requested tea and the owner got it from next door for 3 EGP. Again, this shows the differential pricing system I keep mentioning, which I hate about Egypt. Local people pays 50p (0.5 EGP) whist tourist like you pays 3 EGp, or even 5 EGP. You will be the judge to decide whether it is the tourist's responsible to rescue the encomy of Egypt.

Sailing and Scuba diving
I have done this many times in differents places around the world but definitly, It was one of the best places where I did it.
The visibility is incredible, you will be able to see great variety of fishes and subacuatic plants, and spend a beautiful day on board.
I had a wonderful time !
Take care and bring with you warm close because the water is cold and after diving, you´ll need to get warm.
