Hi Again!!!!!!!!!!
We are going all inclusive to the Titanic at end March 2007, what else do yoiu recommed visiting, dancing, eating etc???

Well Titanic is quite far out but upon arrival try and get hold of the What's on in Hurghada booklet. Inside there you will find lots of info. My favourites in Hurghada for eating are, in no particular order: Bulls - serves everything from steak to chinese, pizza to sandwiches. Mafia - Italian and very very nice. Pita Sphinx just off Sheraton Road - great value and good food.
Dancing: Black House Disco at Minamark Hotel, Caligular at Le Pasha (next door), Bonanza, Papa's Beach, now Ministry of Sound.
Don't forget though that Titanic now has its own disco with 'foam party'!
Travelling for the first time to egypt this weekend :) or :( ???
Having never been to Egypt before, would appreciate some help from anyone in the KNOW!!!
1. Booked in at "Primasol Beach Albatros Resort" (Hurghada) anyone been or know what it is like? (Taxi cost from Airport?)
2. Im quite well travelled in general, but are the streets in the town/general area, free to rome and explore (I appreciate getting generaly hassled by locals but are they harmless eg no trouble?)
3. Any scenic places a "MUST SEE" (possibly thinking about bus or flying up to cairo>>?? looking round some pyramids or any local suggestions, costs, considerations?
4. I am going with another male friend (Just 30) any livley places in Hurghada where similar "younger" british people are having evening fun?

Hotel as the name implies is on the beach. Lovely swimming pool. Mainly German guests. Taxi cost: pay no more than 5 Euros.
Yes the streets are perfectly safe. Not as much hassle here as in say Luxor.
Cairo and Luxor can be visited from Hurghada. Luxor approx. 4 hours by convoy with a rest. Cairo takes approx 6 hours again by convoy. Both can be visited by taking the local bus, no convoy and a lot cheaper than an organised tour.
From Hurghada why not take a trip to Mahmaya. A rather beautiful place where only a limited number of tourists are allowed each day. The snorkelling is fabulous!
Lots of places in Hurghada: Black House Disco within the Minamark Hotel. Papa's Beach Bar (lots of young people). Peanuts Bar in Dahar.

I am flying from Engand to Hurgarda for a weeks holiday on the 21ST January 2008 and will be staying for two nights at the Minamark hotel,Sakala area.I would be gratefull for any feedback on the following questions.
Does anyone have any feedback for this hotel
What should i expect to pay for a taxi to the hotel from airport.
What electricity plug adaptors do i need
What is the temperature at night,do i need warm clothing,
Can you recommend any trips to various places
Where are the best markets for furniture,pictures,ornaments ect?

The Mina Mark is right in the middle of Sheraton Road with lots of restaurants nearby. With it's own beach (unfortunately next to the public beach) it is not a bad hotel at all.
Don't pay more than 30 LE from the airport to the Hotel - even though the taxi driver will ask for more.
All sockets are two pin over here - also be aware that all sockets are live.
After living here for 4 years I feel cold at night. The temp drops so bring a warm sweater/fleece.
There is a fair bit of choice for furniture etc here now, not far from your Hotel there is one called the Seagull - almost opposite there is a mall and if you look up you will see a large sign saying 'areeeka'. They also sell pictures. Some of their furniture is very nice. There is also a place called 'Vera's' on El Nasr Road but I think they are pricy. 'In and Out' up beside the Duty Free - opposite Egyptair also have a good selection.
If there is anythign else, just let me know.

I cant thank you enough for taking the time to supply the information requested.
Although i am stopping at the afore mentioned hotel.My main purpose of my visit is obviously(Owing to the enquiry about furniture and pictures)to take over my new apartment.Which i believe is in, or on the continental area.Near Hardrock Cafe.
I now owe you a big thankyou or at least a drink.Feel free to seek me out on Tuesday or Wednesday evening.I would like one more piece of advice though?I would like to organise a fourwheel trip onto the desert.Any advice?
