Roma Hotel Hurghada, Hurghada, Egypt - Reviews and Hotel Information

All in all the Hotel Roma is a pleasent place to stay if you dont mind the hustle and bustle of city life. Located in the heart of Sakala, Hurghada you will hear the constant beeping of share buses as they honk at prospective passengers but as you get used to it isnt bad.

Its an older hotel so it doesnt quite reach the standards of newer ones in the area. Be careful when entering the elevator. If someone on the another floor calls it or someone inside pushes a button for a floor the door will slam shut on you. The "door open button" doesnt work.

The rooms are pretty clean. The bathroom in my room could have used some work. Perhaps a spray of bleach or Tilex to clean the mold from the grout would have helped. The towel rack fell off the wall several times and despite not having intestinal difficulties we seemed to go through a lot of toilet paper, or maybe it twas that we just werent given much. Oh and make sure they give you the full compliment of towels.

Of course the up side was the view from our room over looking the Red Sea. It was spectacular but some rooms do face the street and others on the lower floors that do face the water may have an obstructed view due to the new building be errected across the street next to the Roma Aqua Center (Lovely beach there by the way.)

The buffet breakfast and dinner offered were quite good. The breakfast buffet could have had more fruit. They did have grapefruit, tomatoes, olives and green bell peppers but my friend and I both found that insufficent.

All in all I say it only deserves 3 stars but it is a nice centralized place to stay.
