    They say 4 Stars I say 3

All in all the Hotel Roma is a pleasent place to stay if you dont mind the hustle and bustle of city life. Located in the heart of Sakala, Hurghada you will hear the constant beeping of share buses as they honk at prospective passengers but as you get used to it isnt bad.

Its an older hotel so it doesnt quite reach the standards of newer ones in the area. Be careful when entering the elevator. If someone on the another floor calls it or someone inside pushes a button for a floor the door will slam shut on you. The "door open button" doesnt work.

The rooms are pretty clean. The bathroom in my room could have used some work. Perhaps a spray of bleach or Tilex to clean the mold from the grout would have helped. The towel rack fell off the wall several times and despite not having intestinal difficulties we seemed to go through a lot of toilet paper, or maybe it twas that we just werent given much. Oh and make sure they give you the full compliment of towels.

Of course the up side was the view from our room over looking the Red Sea. It was spectacular but some rooms do face the street and others on the lower floors that do face the water may have an obstructed view due to the new building be errected across the street next to the Roma Aqua Center (Lovely beach there by the way.)

The buffet breakfast and dinner offered were quite good. The breakfast buffet could have had more fruit. They did have grapefruit, tomatoes, olives and green bell peppers but my friend and I both found that insufficent.

All in all I say it only deserves 3 stars but it is a nice centralized place to stay.

    What more do you want?

You have a "Sheesha Corner" right on the beach, a bar, diving school, restaurant...

Bautiful sea and a pier with boat that takes tourists to the nearest island where you can swimm, snorkel, look at the sea world through the glass bottom of the boat (if you are too scared to get into the water and snorkel or scuba dive), watch the Sunset...

Near the beach, near the centre...

    by

It is a very beautiful hotel near the centre (just 50m's away!) I loved it! You just have to cross the street and you are on the beach! The service is good ( just have to remind them to change your towells every now and then :-), the food is wonderfull and if you are lucky to get a room on the first floor, you might have the pool in front of you as it was the case with us.

Unique Quality: You have two pools: one is in the hotel and has direct access from rooms and from the hallway and the other one is on the beach. You have a disco club in the hotel, but I recomand "Calypso" which is just 10 minutes of walk away from the hotel. Rooms are very nice, toilet and TV included and a terrace.

I can't give you the actuall price on it because it was a part of the tour arangement, but rest assured that it is cheaper than many ohters.

"Roma" hotel, Hurghada

by Beograd

This hotel looks marvelous when you first come. later on, you realize that it is a very nice 3* hotel. What I liked the most about it, is that it is with in 5 minutes walking distance from the centre. And if you are lucky enough, you can get a room on the first floor with direct exit to the hotel pool, like we had.
Clik to find out more "Roma" hotel, Hurghada The only problem with "Roma" Hotel is that it doesn't have a direct aproach to the beach. You have to leave the hotel and cross the street to reach the beach. But that is not a big problem considoring that it takes you only about 2 minutes for that. There is a pool on the beach, showers deck chairs and parasols. Hotel guests can get beach towels but I strongly recommand that you bring your own.
