amazing sea
by Aurorae
Absolutely the most impressive colour of the sea I have ever seen, coupled with its stillnes, and warm waters, and let's not even mention the ultra famous submarine world! If you want to be in paradise, and enjoy the extraordinary sea, Hurghada is the place!
Travel Light!
by larababy
You will hardly wear the clothes that you bring with you. Flip flops, swimwear, shorts and t-shirts. A hat is a must as well as a shawl or loose shirt to cover up. Believe me you will have had enough sun at some point during the day! Definitely factor 30 or above. Even if you tan easily. Drink gallons of water. The air is so dry you could easily become dehydrated without realising it.
beautiful silver jewelery
by adonai_2012 about La Perla
Excellent choice of simple and fansy silver (and gold) jewelery. Nice stuff.
Stuff is experienced in selling, so you have to be in the good mood for bargaining.
Whatever tgey tell you you can go 1/3 lower, or even more (at least my experience) silver jewelery depending on the weight of stuff, is it hand made...etc
Hurghada Taxi
by Kuznetsov_Sergey
The airport of Hurghada is in 13 km to the east from the city centre. It is possible to reach the hotel by a taxi - there are a lot of them in the city. It is rather inexpensive. Not more expensively than 1 Egyptian pound (5,7 LE = $1) for 1 km. It is possible to agree with a taxist to pass in any point of Hurgada for 10LE (less $2).
As I have bought a tour with all transfers I was met at the airport by the manager and together with one more tourist we were taken to the hotels by a good minibus with the conditioner. Last evening I have been brought back to the airport alone on the same minibus. It was free-of-charge, except 1LE for loading of my bag.
They told that there are a lot of fixed-route taxis in the city which for 1LE bring up each interested person. I did not see them. Probably it's so.
Snorkeling
by LexiB
Snorkeling in the Red Sea is a MUST DO activity while in Hurghada. If you do nothing else, do this. The day we went, the water was crystal clear and calm. We were fortunate enough to say a couple of rays, sea urchins, and other "shy" sea life. When we relayed this information to the other boat passengers they were amazed. If they had only swam away from the boat they would've seen these too.
