It has been the best holidays in my life.I stayed there in the beginning of April.The weather was beautiiful and so was the Sun and sea hotel.The staff was kind and ready to help,I also liked the food and the level of cleaning.
Unique Quality: You could see the sea straight from the window of your room.The hotel garden is like in fairy- tales...Different colours,fragrances,forms.
I would reccomend the hotel to all my friends.

We stayed at Sun & Sea Suites for two weeks in the Autumn of 2003. In the charter tour catalogue this hotel was rated '2-star', but I think it deserves 3. It is a clean, simple hotel with friendly staff. The men who cleaned the rooms made animals out of blankets and sheets! Very cute!
Unique Quality: The hotel has a wonderful pool area with two/three pools. One tempered and one quite chilly one (at least in the autumn). Just across the road is the hotel's private beach. It's a very small beach, but the sun beds and umbrellas are free of charge. Staff from the hotel restaurant come down to the beach to take your orders if you want something to eat or drink. The hotel restaurant is not that interesting, but the food is ok. No alcohol is served at this hotel.

A FANTASTIC 3* hotel with more luxury than its stars say. :) Rooms are ample, clean, beautiful, spacious and bright, airconditioned, with big bathrooms and comfortable beds, we actually had a suite because there were 3 of us, but we got it for the price of a 3-bed room!
The only trouble is more or less the same menu every day so you get tired of it, and some of the staff can be jealous and possessive and poke their nose into what is not their business. But, the rest of the staff was extremely kind and friendly!
Unique Quality: There are two swimming pools on two levels and the best garden of all the hotels I've seen over there! All rooms overlook sea and swimming pool, and it is possible to swim in the pool 0-24, unlike in other places in Egypt, where swimming anywhere is forbidden after sunset.
Directions: near hotel "Roma", 5-10 min on foot from the center of Hurgada
We stayed at the "Sun&Sea" hotel, and there was (still is, I hope) an agency called "Magic lamp" in charge of all kinds of "sea trips"...Two young, enthusiastic and energetic guides (Ahmed and Basil) were just great. Snorkling was amazing, as well as, glass-bottom boat and Love island! It's not the most exotic trip you've ever had, but it's fun
Hurghada is ideal to add as a second week after a week Cruise on the Nile.
Don't think a cruise on the Nile is relaxing! You visit so much, wake up so early, have to hurry you, cause there is so much culture & visits. But it's worth so see it once in a lifetime.
That's why a second week Hurghada is perfect, to chill out after a hard year of work, just doing nothing for a week and enjoying the high temperatures, deep blue sea with lots of tropical fish. Relaxing!

You don't have to book excursions especially to see this, almost in front of every hotel you find nice blue lagoons with clear sea & tropical fishes.
With an aquapack (bought on ebay) you can take underwaterpictures safely with any digital camera. When you feed the fish they will come and pose for your pictures like here :)
Does anyone know of a website for the Sun & Sea Hotel in Hurghada? I can not find a website to book the hotel that is in English. I can not find the official website, but I have found websites about the hotel in Arabic, which unfortunately I can not read = (
