Good family accommodation

We had this hotel booked because of the superior quality of the family rooms and the fact that we had not dived in this area before ..this hotel is NOT in Marsa Alam it is in fact quite a long way (over 100km) further in El Qesir!

This hotel is in the middle of nowhere and if you are looking for a town with nightlife forget it!

This hotel is perfect for familys who want an All-In experience,...all meals are served buffet style and the food was more than adequate and the service hours are well planned ...as an extra if you upgrade to Ultra all in you can book yourself in for the evening to the themed restaurants we did La Vista one night and Panorama another but the rest of our time we enjoyed the atmosphere and food at the buffets.

We are not ones for the 'entertainment' but we did stay one night for the quiz and that was ok'

On site therer is also a seperately run Shisha tent which serves the best mint tea!

There are several different pools on site near the rooms as well as a complete water park for extra fun!

Unique Quality: This hotel has daily recreational programs including all water sports activities, night shows, beach volleyball, beach games, horse and camel riding & quads (some of these are at an extra cost of course)

the evening enbtwertainment consists of Egyptian Folkloric Shows, Live Nightly Singer, Beach Disco, Pool Theatre and an Animation Tent.

There are many different places to eat here including The Green House Restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets
La Vista Gourmet Restaurant serving Gourmet International Cuisines
Panorama Sea Food Restaurant
Beach BBQ Restaurant for all kinds of grilled delicacies
Lialina Oriental Tent set overlooking the sea with shisha (water pipe) and local drinks
Entertainment Theater built in Roman style and in Sahara Musical tent
Lobby Bar, Pool Bar, Waves Beach Bar serving local and international cocktails and snacks
Pub with all night music and billiards and darts
Scarabeo Beach Disco for those wild summer nights

Land transportation from Marsa Alam

by fepa

I will be arriving to Marsa Alam airport by late August. Despite there is some information in the internet about land transportation from that airport, it is not very clear concerning schedules. Namely, what I would like to know is:

1. How far is the airport from Marsa Alam?
2. Are there buses from the airport to the city center and how long does the trip take?
3. If so, how frequent are they and what time does the last one of the day leave?
4. How much does the trip cost approximately?
5. What time does the bus to go to Aswan passes by Marsa Alam and how much does the trip cost?

Thanks in advance for reading this e-mail.

Kind regards,

Fabián

Mersa Alam is connected to Edfu by a paved desert road of about 280 km.
