The only no-winding bay in Mars A.

First of all: if you flight to Red Sea, you will be on the seaside and only theorically in Egypt. I mean: forget to be able to see piramids in Gaza or even Luxor, unless (for the second one) you are ready to a 20-hours staying in a bus with a police car before and after the bus. Back to Marsa Alam, it's a new built area on the Red Sea, in the desert. Outside the resort there is NOTHING...with nothing I do not mean nice desert dunes of which you can take marvellous photos but a straight, white, dirty (rubbish everywhere) desert of "nothing". The resorts for tourists are a sort of oasis with all comforts. As outside the resorts you cannot find anything but rubbish, I think it is important to choose the right one. The CORAYA BEACH IBEROTEL was the first hotel to be build in that bay (it is a bay and it is not so windy like other places) 8 years ago. The sea is transparent (but full of non-dangerous jelly fishes) and not rocky like in Sharm el Sheik. Obviously the most beautiful attractive is under the sea; from Coraya you have to take a stroll (not so long) to the coral reef but I saw it like as an advantage because it is much more crowded and silent than other resorts on the same bay. Rooms are big and nice, swimming pools are not missing, entertainment is present but very very descrete (no load music on the beach, for example), the personnel is very kind and speak few words of every European languages. Egyptians working there are only male, whose families are in Hurgada or Assuan or even in The Cairo. I mean: they are used to live there without their wives for months so think twice before to wear a transparent pareo for lunch or a very short mini-skirt. (Topless is forbidden everywhere but especially Russian tourists do not care). Tourists there were mostly from Germany, Italy and Russia. (April 2006). Food is also very good and slightly spicy. It isn't an all inclusive so it's not so usual to meet drunk tourists... Massages in the SPA are very relaxing but cheap compared to european standard (1 hour = 30 €)

Unique Quality: VERY HIGHT STANDARD OF ACCOMODATION AND FOOD.
RELATIVELY NO WINDY BAY
