Won't repeat my mistake staying in Sol Y Mar
I drove this weekend from Luxor to Marsa Alam (Coraya arae). It was not that bad as i could expect. 260 km in less than 3 hours. the road was from Qeft and for one part, security didn't want to let me pass as I am a foreigner and he had concerns re security. but is was all fine, day light, good road, to Qusseir and then down to Marsa Alam.
The worse part was the stay in a so called 5 star hotel, named Sol Y Mar Solaya.... very rude staff and management, who didn't care about any thing and time!
they didn't provide me with all which i did book and said they don't care about what has been written in the booking confirmation receipt. for duty manager to come to the reception and talk to me, it took 20 minutes (at 6:30 pm), for me to receive an extra pillow, 60 minutes, for any simple request, you had no choice to increase your patience and tolerance. I will never stay in this property and any hotel affiliated with the chain. really painful stay, while the property is nice and equipped. a pity that they didn't invest enough in human resources.

As Marsa Alam is a new resort that has just been brought out in the Winter Sun Brochure, I am struggling to find any reviews on the Sol Y Mar Solaya Hotel, and would be greatful if anyone has any information on this hotel.
