Dream Park or Magic Land?

by joenix

Which one of these two parks has the best (and scariest) rides? I have seen Dream Park's website and it's not very informative. They have three types of ticket, from normal to VIP. What are the differences between regular, gold and VIP tickets?
And is Magic Land better for older kids? Do they have a web site?
Will the parks be open in the daytime during Ramadan?
Thanks
Sarah

Travel Tips for Cairo

WIFI in City Stars Cairo

by dutchboycalledjan

On the 2nd floor of the shopping mall City Stars (between Heliopolis and Nasr City) is a cafe called Costa that has free wifi. Wrote this tip there! They also serve a good, strong coffee and are very friendly, even when you spend a whole morning on one cup. Fondest memory: the night falling over Caïro from one of the minarets.

The Citadel - Al Qala

by call_me_rhia

The CItadel, also called Al-Qala, is a walled fortress on top of a hill in Cairo. In the past it had been the home to Egypt's rulers for about 700 years. The Citadel was built in different stages, so it turned out to be a mix of differing styles There's a lot to see in the Citadel: several museums, various historical buildings and three mosques, including Mohammed Ali's mosque.

And yet what I found most appealing of the Citadel was the view from the terraces: amazing. When the sun went down, it became even more charming.

The Pyramid of...

The Pyramid of Mycerinus
Inside.
In fact there is nothing to see but empty chambers. However the feeling is very special when you are inside.
Caution! Not for those who suffers claustrophobia.

Polite, please!

Have in mind that you have come to an islamic country where women are mostly covered. Cairo is a conservative enviroment and you have to respect this! Short skirts, deep "V" on your blouse will be unapropriate in this city. You might come to being misstreated, and Cairo could become a nightmare for you instead of wonderful experience. You don't have to cover your head or anything like it, just try not to look "too European", if you know what I mean (or too Western, for that matter)
