Superb five-star resort

A true five-star resort with friendly, helpful staff and a choice of seven bars and restaurants.

It's away from the pollution and chaos of Cairo city. Even though it's a relaxing place to stay it's also an excellent business hotel.

I advise booking the hotel's pick-up service for their meet, assist and transportation service. They help you through Immigration, arrange the visa, take you through the chaotic Cairo traffic in air-conditioned comfort.

Unique Quality: The hotel is set in a 27-hole championship golf course overlooking the Pyramids of Giza.

There's an excellent pool area, complete with swim-up bar and snack bar.

The rooms are extra large and very stylishly furnished with plenty of cupboard and working space.

Great Apartment Hotel in Cairo

by dpawas2cool about Hilton World Trade Center Cairo Residence

The Hilton Cairo World Trade Center is located in downtown Cairo on the east bank of the Nile River. We picked this hotel because we were traveling as a family (two parents, a grandparent, a 2 year-old and a 7 year-old). The idea was to get a spacious room with some space for the kids to spread out, separate sleeping areas and a small kitchen for convenience cooking etc. This is not like any Hilton hotel at which you have ever stayed. It is more like a giant apartment building with a nice pool, a nice restaurant, and a hotel-type lobby. The room was HUGE and had a full-sized living room and dining room, an office, and two bedrooms (one king and one with two doubles). The office also had some sort of bed in it. There was easily room for 7 or 8 people in this place comfortably. There was also a full kitchen with a refrigerator. Each room has a huge balcony with chairs and a nice view of Cairo. Our room overlooked downtown and we had a nice view of the Omar Makram Mosque. Our side windows had Nile views. The apartment set us back $300 per night but was worth every penny and included a full (and filling breakfast) and dinner ordered from the menu including drinks. The hotel also had a great pool overlooking the Nile. If you are in a small group or money is no object this is the way to go. The other cool thing was that the hotel was right next to a normal residential area and I was able to do grocery shopping (sodas, milk, cookies, chips, candy, fruit etc) at a local grocery market and keep it in the room. The local market was very inexpensive.

snacks and shisha

by call_me_rhia about Abu Aly

It's inside the Nile Hilton Cairo - but it's an open-air affair. The Abu Aly is an oriental-style terrace serving Egyptian snacks and shisha - some people say the best in Cairo. The shisha was good but not great, in all fairness - at least not the green apple flavour. The snacks, by contrast, are delicious and it's also possible to oder Italian food from the nearby Da Mario Italian restaurant. The coffee is a sad story - better give it a miss.

After tiring days exploring Cairo, we used to go to Nile Hilton Hotel & have an icecream dessert, whilst sitting on the terrace people watching in the warm evening heat, with the smell of beautiful rose and honey sented Shisha Pipes being smoked around us...................................Wonderful! Belly Dancing Shows

by marimar_72 about Nile Hilton Casino.

If you are really intrestead in belly dancing,Egypt is the home!!!!!
There are many casinos with belly dancers shows mainly located at AL Haram street,(kinda cheap)but personally I have never been there. It opens from 3 am til 12 p.m next day.(OMG)
There are 3 most famous belly dancers in Egypt(Dina,Fifi Abdu&Lucy)they are the top.
But they only preform at 5 star hotels.
Either Nile Hilton,Cairo Sheriton,or Ramsis Hilton.
check with those hotels before going because programmes can be changed.

There are also many other non-Egyptian belly dancers, who are mainly from Eastren Europe or Russia. NO jeans are allowed in the 5 star hotle casinos, neck tie is also required.

Best Belly Dance in Cairo

by nitinpandey

Hi,
We are planning a dinner cruise with belly dancing while in Cairo in December.
Could anyone please suggest the best one to see and how to book it?
Any telephone numbers would be of great help.
Thanks,
Nitin

Hi Queenpud,
What i meant was a boat dinner trip with belly dancing and not really the 5star hotels. I believe there are a few cruises where you can have dinner as they go along the nile and there is belly dancing on board?
I've heard about "Nile Paroh Dinner Cruise: Meena House Oberoi Hotel", any ideas?
Thanks,
Nitin

Many of the diner cruises are organised by the bigger hotels.

4 years ago we did a diner cruise from the Cairo Marriott and (I believe) Dina performed there. It was very good! Our friend in Cairo arranged it. Maybe you should ask him.

Hi there
we once did a dinner & cruise with belly dancer on board at the Pharoan restaurant. It was really good and not expensive either.
Here are all the details.
This floating restaurant is located along the Nile River close to Tgi Fridays and Grand Cafe. It has beautiful surroundings inside the restaurant and all the food is placed out around a huge buffet table which is decorated really nicely.

There are nice tables all set up ready for you to enjoy your meal and once you start your first course the ship then sails around the Nile and returns back to the dock once the night is over.

There is also belly dancers, singers, dancers and whirling dervishes which are there to entertain you for the evening. It is a fantastic way to try some of the local cuisine and also local Egyptian entertainment. You do normally have to make a reservation for this restaurant.

Favorite Dish: It is buffet style and is a la carte, they start off with soups, bread rolls and salad, then lay out some local cuisine and also some international dishes, then dessert is served, there are many cakes, ice creams, trifles and other delicious looking desserts for you to try... and the best thing is you can eat as much as you like.
