Maadi Hotel
by Diana75
The Maadi Hotel is located in Maadi district, near the Nile, in a residential area.
The hotel has 16 floors, a swimming pool and a fitness center on the top terrace. It is rated 4* although the rooms’ furniture and fittings are quite old.
Still the staff is very polite and friendly.
The lucky ones might receive a room with the view on the Pyramids (from the 7th floor up).
For a couple of days in Cairo in order to explore the city, it is a convenient choice.

A view from "my" room
by Beograd
This is the view from the room I stayed in. Eventhough, Maadi Hotel is a long way from Giza and Pyramids, I had a view on the Nile and Pyramids. With the camera I had, Pyramids couldn??t be captured. But I know that I could see them (-_-)
Funny thing is that people from my group that stayed in Le Meridien Pyramids, a few km??s from Pyramids, didn??t have the view to them. So they were all rather mad about it. Who??s got the last laugh now? (-_-)

View On The Nile
by Beograd
The hotel is situated in Maadi part of Cairo. Rooms are ok, depending on what you expect. It's near the centre, but out of the crowd. Some rooms have the view on the Nile, and from some you can see the pyramids in the distance. Again, I was lucky and had that view. sadly, our low quality camera wasn't able to catch that moment.
Unique Quality: It is in the centre, but away from the crowd in the part of Cairo where mostly American and European families live. But, I haven't seen too many of them. Just locals, but I came to Egypt to see percisely that :-)

by Beograd
This picture was taken by Ghaydaa in hotel lobby. I was sitting with Zeinab and Ashraf and waiting for the rest of the crew to join us. We had so much fun and laughed the whole time, that my tears strated roling down cheeks :-)
I was truly happy in "Maadi" hotel and Cairo generaly.

Pool on the roof
by Beograd
There is a really beautiful pool on the roof. You can enjoy the sun and nice weather in the middle of the city, and have a view on the Nile, the longest river in the world.

This hotel was an excellent choise for our 2 nights stay in Cairo. The whole day we spent on the site and it would be ridiculous to spend heaps of money on sume luxury hotel when you don't even have the time to enjoy what it has to offer.
Click here to find out more about "Maadi" hotel, Cairo Hotel is in the centre of Maadi area. It's close to the Nile river, close to the centre... Not very fancy, but nice!

RE: cairo hotel

Hi,
I have not stayed at the Maadi Hotel but I have seen it, it does not look bad and I know the prices are pretty good. I did not stay there because it was difficult for me to fax the hotel information so I booked at the Sofitel Hotel, which is near the Maadi Hotel. I believe the Sofitel was about $70.00 U.S. dollars a night. Hope this helps, T.G.I.F. is right near Sofitel too which I frequent when I am in Egypt. Renting a flat in Maadi is about $500.00 U.S. a month if you are staying a while and you want something decent.

I stayed in the Maadi hotel in December. my husband and i thought it was decent. The people downstairs were very polite and helpful and we liked the breakfast buffet. Not fancy but enough to get you going and we thought it tasted good too. if you have any other questions please let me know.
thanks
D

I stayed once in Sofitel and once in Cairotel and passed near to Maadi hotel. Looked decent. Furthermore, the area is really lovely. Great for an evening walk and food on the river Nile. Looked quite secure with policeman at every crossroad.
