Cairotel hotel
by juliewong about Cairotel
Don;t be fooled from the internet. Although it's rated as a 4 star hotel, it's not. More like a 3-star rating. Had to change my room twice as the door lock was broken and window couldn;t close properly. The bellboy was really rude and was complaining. Do not rely on the morning call service. Told the operator to wake me up at 7am and they either didn;t do it or called 2 hours later. Customer service was really bad. Remember to bring your alarm clock if you're heading to Egypt. Pretty alright for a hotel with hot shower, hair dryer, mini fridge and towels if you're not fussy. Some rooms overlooked the Giza pyramids view. Too bad, my room was at the back, facing the old, dirty buildings.

by daryll about Felfela Restaurant
Again, ambience at the Felfela Restaurant very cosy and you can choose from air-con dining area accompanied with mini fountains to create a sense of tranquility or you can dine outside the terrace, caireness way of enjoying supper with some 'not so loud' arabic music, again you can enjoy pyramids view especially in the night coz on the other side of the pyramids the giza town, between 6 - 9pm sound and light shows operates daily, the benefits of the light shine upon the other side where we were staying and eating.
Besides that there is a personal waite or butler you call it will come and serve you from the beginning to the end. Please give some good baksheehm they work very hard over there : D Typical egyptian meal you shoud start is:
'AISKH'
Also known as pitta bread, eat it with sesame & yogurt dip or humus dip.
Cost : 70ptrs per piece
KOSHARI - recommended
A plate of mix salad (combination of pasta, rice, fava beans, and fried onions) served with spicy salsa sauce and mediternean tomato salsa.
Cost : LE13 per plate
TAAMIYA FALAFEL
Normally served 2 pieces per person, so make sure dont order too much. Need not to comments this, MUST TRY & MUST EAT.
Cost : LE8 per serving
GRILLED CHICKEN KEBAB
Wow..so tasty, grilled with capsicum, the heavenly barbeque smell really makes my mouth watering now...served with chips (why chips?) and some salads and sliced tomato
Cost : LE25 per serving
CALAMARI & EGYPTIAN STICKY RICE
ANOTHER delicious dish, Fried Calamari with spices, so fresh, served wih spiced glutinous rice (very tasty, wish i can eat all of it but already eaten so many dishes) again served with chips? and some salads and sliced tomato.
Cost : LE33 per serving
Total cost is lest than GBP10 (includes beverages) for two person only
GBP1 equals to LE10

Hi, We are in the same position - my husband and I are planning to visit in November for 8 days and its so important to choose hotel/Nile cruise carefully. I have always found www.tripadvisor.com to have excellent advice/reviews etc. and we never make a booking without checking this website. FYI, Le Meridien Pyramids seems to have very good reviews - we're considering it ourselves! Check out that website! Enjoy your trip.

Hi,
Since Mena House Hotel is still under renovation, Le Meridien Pyramids is regarded the best hotel in Pyramids area. It is a 5 stars hotel , totally refurbished with touch of Luxury. You can get a very nice room with pyramids view (upon request with supplement)
So, I am sure you 're gonna enjoy your stay there and recommend it to friends and family.
Have a grand time in Egypt.
Shd u have any other questions, pls feel free to contact me at nadine2oo2@yahoo.com
