Summer Palace: Hmm
If you have to stay in Suez and cannot stay at the Stell di Mare (40k away), then this is the only bar in town.9) Tired old seaside motel ,rooms are ok but can be noisy near reception, staff seem to shout a lot at night,Grounds are very tired and partly delapidated with what could be a nice beach, just a shame no-one seems to care about the rubbish and broken glass on it,a real hazard for children.
Old salt water swimming pool ,which is high sided in the deep end and not enough ladders for safety
Restaurant and bar staff very friendly (dont get to see to many people especially white unscarfed people). Lovers lane at night for supervised Moslem courtship

I was staying there two times, when I passed through in Spring 2006. The Hotel is near the port. The people are friendly, but they only can speak arabic. The rooms will be rented in total, that means you pay the same price, if you come alone or together with another person. It is the only cheap hotel in the port area.
The hotel lies app. 2 km from the citycenter of Suez in the port area, called Port Tawfiq. Take a minibus into this direction. If you reach the first roundabout in Port Tawfiq you have to go out and go back to the last sidestreet on the side, where you came from. It is 50 metres inside the sidestreet. You can see the sign from the main road.
The rooms have normal size with two beds inside. All of them have TVs and there are also some with own bathrooms (basic ones). The rooms to the street are better, because they have windows, the other ones don´t have. In some rooms the walls to the neighbors are very thin, so it could get a little bit loud for sleeping. Again, the rooms to the streets normally are the better ones.
The price is between 30 and 35 Pound, depend on the room.

Stella di Mare: " Ain Soukhna" Best Resort
" Ain Soukhna," , Suez not so far from Cairo and a regular vacation retreat for upper class people from Cairo, I nevertheless expected it to be exotic. Most westerners are fairly unfamiliar with this beach resort, sometimes called a town but really more of a series of large resort compounds that stretch along the mainland Red Sea Coast.
the Stella di Mare complex and drove up to the Swiss Inn five star hotel; as we entered the lobby and I wandered into the bar, I noticed something was amiss. Sitting there in the midst of the ordinary liquors one finds in Egypt was a bottle of Jack Daniels. Ok, this review is not centered on the hotel bar, or an American bottle of whiskey, but that nevertheless alerted me to the fact that I was not exactly the first American visitor at the Swiss Inn. American bourbon is relatively rare in Egypt, and when one does find it, normally one finds Jim Beam, which is, as often as not, hidden somewhere, awaiting a tourists request.

There are several resorts in the area offering luxury accommodation, water sports and in some cases, golf. A popular choice is the Palmera Beach Resort (tel: (062) 341-0816/24). Egyptians and foreign residents can expect to pay about LE 350 for a double room, including breakfast and dinner. The upscale Stella di Mare incorporates two hotels, the Plan Hotel (tel: (062) 325-0200), where a double room with half board is in the range of LE 610; and the Swiss Inn (tel: (062) 325-0100). At the Swiss Inn, where Egyptian and resident rates for a garden view room with breakfast and dinner are about LE 590 per night, you can enjoy the Thalasso Spa, which offers various treatments and massages for face and body. The Swiss Inn also has an enormous and magnificently landscaped pool sure to thrill the under-12 crowd.
If you’re taking the entire family, consider renting a four-bedroom villa at the Ramada Ain Sokhna (tel: (062) 329-0510) for LE 265 per person per night, half board. Dining options are limited mostly to the hotels. If you’re staying in one of the resorts, you will probably want to remain in the relaxing compounds, anyway. Try to steer clear of Sham El-Nessim and Eid holidays, which many families now spend every year in Ain Sokhna.
