Ras Hotel
220 Bir per night for a twin room, and 150 bir for a single room. Room with shower and TV with CNN & BBC. Room make-up daily. The hotel restaurant with the patio is good, about 35 Bir for a burger sandwich and a beer. It's a bit far from the city centre, if you want to go to the Piazza area, it takes 30-minute walk uphill along Churchill Ave. or 20-30 Bir taxi within 10-minute.

GREAT VIEWS AND GREAT BAR FOOD
The Ras Amba hotel overlooks most of Addis Ababa, has nice looking rooms and is a favourite with wedding parties. It’s mid-priced and considerably cheaper than the Sheraton and Hilton. It offers good rooms, an excellent bar, great views and unfortunately a poor restaurant. The snack food in the bar is good, but the restaurant food is horrible – never eat there! With all the great restaurants in the city you won’t have any issues getting a good meal. It’s a healthy walk from the Ras Amba to the Haile Selassie Church and Arat Kilo, but you can get a shared taxi just outside. It’s relatively quiet around here at night.
They take major credit cards and have more than 1 email address to book. You can also telephone. Unfortunately they do not have a website.

On Churchill Avenue
Ras Hotel has a central location on Church Hill Avenue. The restaurant is ok, with a selection of local and tourist food. The service is sometimes slow, but the staff is friendly. There is a patio bar, where you can sit outside and people watch. The room was clean, but the standard is not very high. Sometimes there are hot water in the shower, sometimes not.
Unique Quality: Nice patio bar.
