I stayed in this hotel in 2004. It was during the off-season that I stayed there and hence it was less crowded. The hotel offers a breath-taking view of the Dam and the volta lake. The scene from the restarant just mesmerises you as you stand there admiring the gushing water and the vast lake. The hotel is essentially a leisure resort, a good holiday can be spent there if one is interested to be close to the nature in a calm and quiet environment.
The staff was very friendly and always at service and in my experience they went out of the way to help me out.
The restaurant is a good place to try out traditional ghanian dishes and it offers a lot of veriety in that respect.

A lot of mosquitos and other insects during the raining season.
View on the dam and the lake Volta, quiet gardens, nice bar with real large choice,
Nice pool and terrace with a view.
Rooms are in good condition and service is very good

Just next to a more popular and touristy resort is a campground annex hotel on the banks of the river Volta. There are three nice chalets with a common floating terrace on the river, from where you can have a good view on the bridge nearby!
The very attractive garden is an ideal spot to have a drink. There's also a fine restaurant and it is safe to swim in the Volta. A place with charm and character! Leave a Comment
