I am a frequent visitor to Ghana and this is my perhaps 12th visit to this hotel. I find it to be faultless. It is not cheap but this business travel, and I am not sitting on the beach building a sun tan. The pool and beach are well managed. The restaurant food and service is exceptional - not much point in going out to look for better food.

    Labadi Beach hotel in Accra

Labadi Beach hotel on the eastern side of Labadi beach is the most expensive hotel in Accra. Walk-in guest must expect to pay the ridiculous price of USD 320 for Superiour rooms and USD 405 for Luxary rooms. It is not worth it.

The hotel has 164 rooms, Swimming pool, volleyball court and 2 tennis courts. Labadi Beach hotel is a part of the South-African hotel chain Lagacy hotels & resorts. This hotel is in my opinion not as nice as La Palm Beach Hotel, the other hotel on the western side of the beach.

Unique Quality: It is a Mosquito infested sump/pond at the eastern side of Labadi beach, not far from from Labadi Beach hotel.

    Directions: Labadi beach

    Best 4* Hotel

First four stars hotel in Ghana, Labadi Beach Hotel is of course on the coast at Labadi. You have all the facilities you can expect from a 4* hotel. The swimming pool is very nice. The restaurant is also very good, and it is the only place in Ghana where waiters have been receiving a training. They can bring you a bottle on a plate without falling!!!
The bar is cozy with a pianist after 5PM.
British Airways and American airlines spend nights there.
The swimming pool and tennis are outside. There is an access to the beach.

Unique Quality: I like the swimming pool there, it is not as congested as in the two other big hotels of Accra. The restaurant is also very good with a good service. The buffet is also very nice however if you go there 10 times, you might be fed up because of the monotony. It is however 10 times better than the buffet at the Golden Tulip.

    Labadi Beach Hotel

Unique Quality: May well be the best place I've ever stayed at. No, the service or facilities weren't spectacular, though they were very nice. What did it for me was what was outside - nice little pool, a small lagoon, and of course, an amazing beach! The picture here is of said beach. The writing reads 'Labadi Ghana'

Directions: East of Accra proper, along the road heading east along the coast out of Accra.

The Best 5 Start Hotel in Ghana

by dexter619 about Labadi Beach Hotel

Labadi Beach Hotel is the best hotel in Ghana, and I'm not just saying that due to my experience, I'm saying that because it literally is the best hotel in the country. There are not many 5 star hotels in Ghana. It is a very sharp contrast from the normal living standard of the locals. When you arrive on the property, it's as if you've stepped into another world because everything outside of the hotel is a 3rd world country. The grounds are immaculately kept, the food is excellent and I could not find anything wrong about the service. The beach front is part of the hotel, so it is easily acessible for all guests. Also, the hotel is resort-style so your room is on the 1st floor out and away from reception. It feels like you have your own apartment.

E Beautifull, real african style, with european quality, and very affordable prices.

The staff are all extremely friendly, helpful and courteous.

The swimming pool and sunlounge area are super,... clean and inviting on a hot sunny day - with pool attendants on hand.

Featuring all international standards and facilities for business and relaxation: satellite TV, fan, telephone, air-conditioning and of course a bathroom with bath, shower and toilet.

Laundry and dry cleaning services are available on request. For long staying guests or those seeking more spaciousness, they will offer you, beside the Standard and the Deluxe rooms; Corner and Seaside suites.

However each room has its own private balcony, all with a great view of the Atlantic Ocean and the exotic garden.

If your coming for a visit to Accra and want some creature comforts at a good standard, but at an affordable price this is the place to come.

I stayed in the Golden Tulip, which is a fine hotel near the airport. Otherwise you might head to the Labadi Beach hotel, which has a very good restaurant and is literally on the beach.

The weather's always warm. ;-)

Labadi beach hotel is by far the best hotel I ever lived in. spent six wonderful days and nights. Wonderful reception and service. Great food. The morning buffet as from 7am I think... yummy. Mushroom, bacon, french toast, fresh natural juice.after I left from the restaurant every morning with an apple, the next meal I had was supper.
the gym is however quite small and not too comfortable. Nice access to the rooms from different angles (152). Drinks at the bar at affordable prices, beautiful air hostesses from time to time.
Sundays at the beach is tight with traffic, as the general public visit the public beach. This is an ideal moment to ride a horse. I would have loved to take my room robe with me after the journey for free, but you can't, had to buy it from the hotel. I liked the different varieties of chocolate and coffee sachets replenised on my room table everyday, also the nicely dried and salted cashew nuts. I could also suggest the BELLAROMA restaurant, not too far, if anyone feels like eating Italian.
