Good area for shopping
I would have to say that this was a very nice hotel. The night I arrived, I was very tired and needed a beer after the flight from Conakry, Guinea.
The good things about the hotel were that it was located in the center of the area for some (actually) good shopping. Not the stuff you find on the corners, but a little walk and there are some behind the scenes places to go.
The hotel also provided breakfast with the room. The breakfast was very good and more than just the "international" stuff you would think.
I had developed food poisoning from La Palma Hotel when I was there for a conference and had to stay in the hotel. The room service was very good, not expensive, and quick... when I was ready to eat!

City centre Hotel
The hotel has been fully renovated recently and offers a very good quality with French hospitality.
It is although the first International Class hotel built in Ghana and unless you are in business trip to Ghana for visiting officials and Government, you will be stacked in the very centre of Accra, at all time in a big traffic jam.
It is a little bit cheaper than others, but you will lose a lot of time to and fro the hotel.
Only for business stay
Unique Quality: They have the best bread and best viennoiseries from whole Ghana. The chef was trained in the best French schools.
I went back to this htel recently, August 2009.
The quality of the food has decreased. The pastries are far below expectations in this range of hotel.
