Hotel Camayenne: Conakry's second expensive best hotel

This is an extremely nice hotel. It has great rooms with open balconies. There is a television in the room with a small fridge. The beds are very soft and comfortable. The room itself is big! There is a nice sitting/ business area in the room for entertaining.

There is also a very nice size pool with a huge bar/diner attached. They have a wide variety of menu. You can even get a hamburger! It is not on the menu, but if you ask, they will make one for you... not bad either! The prices for beer, food and such are very reasonable. The room service food is fine, but the service is not always the best. It can take some time just for extra plates.

Some incredible views when the haze of the city passes! All of the balconies/ windows face the ocean.

Unique Quality: Frequently, the hotel is the host for up and comming artists, English Speaking Women's Association, and many other events are held in the garden area adjoined to the pool.
The best is in late Oct. early Nov. when they have BEER FEST!!! All of the big businesses sponser this even and the beer is wonderful! The band is brought in from Germany, but the food leaves something to be desired! Tip... eat before going! It is about $30 USD and all you can drink! A great social gathering for ex-pats and afluent guineans! Not that I am a snob, but this is the kind of thing that I do not see a lot of Guineans going to because they are mostly Muslim and don't drink!
