Blue Post Hotel: Nice relaxing place, great surroundings

Blue Post is THE place to stay while in Thika. The accommodations are good, but the grounds are fabulous.

Unique Quality: The convergence of the Thika and Chania rivers form two marvelous waterfalls. From the grounds you can walk down (many) stairs to the base of the Thika waterfall. It is a serene, contemplative escape.

There is also a historical appeal (for some) as a hotel has been in operation at this spot since 1908 when the British colonizers used the hotel as a stop-over between their plantations in the Central Highlands and Nairobi.
