very good location...located at the heart of city centre,but the rude staffs and not-so-clean room spoil the image of the hotel...well.. what more can you expect in Kenya?

We were booked into this hotel as part of a tour package. We had previously stayed at Nairobi Intercontinental, which was so much nicer you could not compare the two. The rooms at Hilton were small and dirty. Soap scum and hair on the shower curtain was the first turn-off, followed by stains on the pillow cases. Under the sink was a large water stain indicating a water leak from the last decade. Funny thing was, Hilton cost more than the Intercontinental.

The Hilton Nairobi is a very nice hotel - the rooms are not as nice as you would expect from a Hilton in Europe or America, but is is on an excellent standard, the food is good, the service is always friendly and overall it is a great place to be.

Nairobi Hilton was one of the best hotels in nairobi until a few years ago, it is now getting frayed around the edges and is not value for money.
The safari and taxi touts who hang around outside are a decided nuisance.

After a few days out in the highlands I embraced this hotel. I was willing to pay almost anything just to have a little bit of basic necessities again. When I saw myself in the mirror again, I got a shock!
Unique Quality: Satellite TV, Internet access, nice pool, decent food, clean.

Stayed here for 1 night double room b&b £98. Restaurant was ok. Breakfast excellent. Public areas ok. Pool had slightly misty water. Bedroom bathrooms a bit grubby. Ok to say for 1 night, would I stay again probably not, would I recommend it to friends, no. Needs a re-dec. Reception were helpful.
Unique Quality: Did have a pool but I wouldn't swim in it because the water wasn't clear.

It was an excellent hotel in the heart of Nairobi only 15 min. away from the airport. I specially liked the swimming pool on the roof. All rooms are air-conditioned and have satellite TV, electronic safes, electronic locks and mini bar. The hotel offers four restaurants and one Pub with live entertainment.
The Hilton is nowhere close to a 2 star hotel.
The rooms are so damp and ugly, the bathrooms are dirty and discolored.
Same with the towels in the rooms.
The internet is way overpriced.... it would be better walking right outside the hotel into a cybercafe and pay 30times less than the hotel charges.
The Hilton did NOT impress me in any way. I regret having been lured by that famous name (again). The rooms of this hotel are very small, let’s just say tiny. They are old, far from new for sure. They have no character

Hi, is there a well-stocked supermarket or delicatessen at or very close to the Nairobi Hilton? I shall be travelling via Nairobi in a few weeks and shall be put up in the hotel during my 18-hour transit and absolutely MUST buy ***hold your breath*** mozzarella cheese for a friend at my next African destination. Needless to say there is no mozzarella cheese at my present location...

Try Nakumatt Suepermarket which is 5 minutes walk from Nairobi Hilton.
If they do not have, they will refer you to their Hyper Stores where you would need to hire a cab.

Hi there,
If you can't find mozza in any of the markets, you can go to hte Lord Stanley Hotel, also a 5 min walk from the Hilton. They have a nice little Itallien al fresco restaurant there and they do have buffalo mozza. If you beg, you might be able to get a bit for take out.
