Anjajavy Hotel: Luxury Surrounded by Wildlife
Anjajavy Hotel overlooks the beach in a wide bay facing the Mozambique Channel in a remote and beautiful location with deserted sandy coves and with a dry forest reserve containing lemurs, bats, birds and many reptiles.
The accomodation is in 2 storey chalets built from local materials which have large bed, sitting area, bathroom with large bath and French windows which open onto a sea-facing terrace with armchairs and a hammock where you can watch the lemurs in the trees or the fishing pirogues on the ocean, or just relax.
The main building blends in with the surroundings and has a lounge, bar and pool table, TV room and restaurant. Most meals are served outside, on the deck area overlooking the garden and lawns, where you can watch the parakeets.
There is a large pool and the Indian Ocean beyond for swimming, and the hotel also has a boutique and a shop.
The marina is separate for watersports, which preserves the tranquillity of the villas and the beach in front of them. The marina is a short walk from the lodge – or you can get a lift. Complimentary watersports include catamarans, windsurfing, canoes, snorkelling and water-skiing. Big game and fly fishing are very good here and pther sports on offer are volleyball, table tennis, badminton, billiards and boules. Mountain bikes are available for hire.
You can walk through the mangroves at low tide, walk in the forest and watch Coquerel's sifakas and many other birds, visit the fishing villages of Ambondro Ampassy or Anjajavy, and there are no poisonous snakes or other dangerous creatures.
Natural wildlife all around you as well as the beautiful beach, sea and coves. Brown Lemurs and Sifakas, beautiful birds and forest.
The food is also excellent.
