We had one of the 2 story waterfront cabin. Built from stone and timber, our room looked out over the Ifaty lagoon and the narrow sandy beach. The bathroom and an extra bed were downstairs, and the bedroom up in a thatched loft. A terrace out the front looks out over the lagoon.
It is only a short stroll along stone paths to the reception and restaurant complex.
The food served was excellent, the staff helpful and friendly. The hotel works with the local community and supports a school amongst other initiatives
Sitting on the terrace, watching the activities of the local people on the lagoon in the changing light through the day.
This was a pleasant break from travelling in Madagascar, a chance to pause and reflect.
This is a rather new hotel with very nice bungalows. I have to recommend it because of the delicious food; lobster, crab and shrimps, prepared in French cuisine!
Great food, good beach, good accomodation.
Snorkling, coral diving on the beach right in front of the cabins! Only breakfast served. The nearby Vovotel has a good restaurant.
About 26 km. from Tuléar but it takes about 3 hrs with a 'taxi brousse'. The road is horrendous but an adventure in itself.
The pirogues (little sailing boats) made from scraped out trees sail past the beach in front of the bungalows.
Detached cabins right on the beach with shower and WC.
We only ate here, being lodged in the Mangily hotel, 5 min. by car from Vovo Telo. By the look of the Vovo Telo website, it looks fine though. The food was very good.
Rooms from 80.000 MFG (about 80 French Francs)
