To the foot of the impressive mountain of the Gloomy, in the extension of the hotel Le Morne, the Dinarobin Hotel Golf & Spa put itself in the middle of a lush vegetation and very close to a superb beach to the thin sand. Nice and Relaxing

Les Paradis is a fairly big hotell, suitable for couples with children, and maybe older youngsters that enjo doing nothing. It ha sa very high standard and good service. There is one large pool, which is pretty shallow, three restaurants on the hotelarea, but three more at the neighbour hotel dinarobin (which by the way seemed more luxurious than ours). The hotel provides waterskiing, wakeboarding and other watersports for free, and beachboys drive you around in funny floaty-things like rings and bananaboats for little money.
If you have some kind of trouble walking long distances make sure to check with the people at the hotell that the room is close to all services, because the houses are located in a row, so some can be very far away. Nice hotell, nice people at the hotell, good gym and spa, and tennis courts were good. The volleyball court was pretty sh*tty, full of chorals washed up from sea. There was a few luxury shops at the hotel, no big wow...
Internet provided pretty cheap and the food was amazing!

Just been to Mauritius and have seen some of the hotels on the West Coast. Le Paradis and Dinarobin are indeed very nice hotels and excellent for sailing etc..It's also very close to a beach in Le Morne where Ive seen people doing kitesurfing..looks like the best spot to do it in Mauritius.
You can also stay in Tamarin which is not too far from LE Morne. There is the Tamarin Hotel or in Flic en Flac you have la Pirogue, Hilton, Sofitel etc.
I stongly recommend you driving around as the sceneries are amazing...also a very great sunset in the West coast. I booked a car for around 25 euros per day and for an extra 20 euros i got an airport transfer...that means i saved the 100 euros i would have had to pay for a hotel airport transfer:) The owner was great and very flexible. Wonderful Dinarobin

We chose the Dinarobin after months of research to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary and what a choice it turned out to be. We had the most amazing holiday and could not have been looked after any better. This is a 5 star hotel that truly lives up to its rating. From the moment we arrived we were looked after so well. The accommodation is extremely good - we had an ocean view junior suite (and it really did have a wonderful sea view). The room was kept immaculately clean, and we had a change of towels and bed linen every day. We joined The Club, which we would fully recommend. It was so nice to pop in whenever you wanted for a cool beer or a delicious cocktail and sit and relax and chat to other people. The food in all the restaurants, in the Dinarobin and its sister hotel, the Paradis, was of an extremely good standard - we had to lose rather a lot of weight when we got home!! We had a couple of excusions, one of which was a helicopter ride - this was amazing and I was lucky enough to sit in the front with the pilot. You cannot go wrong in choosing the "Wonderful Dinarobin" and we will certainly be going back.
Nice luxurious outdoor getaway

La Ravanne is a wonderful half outdoor half indoor restaurant a stone throw away from the dinarobin hotel. Wonderful food, great wine list and very nice service. Very beautiful setting under the bare starlight sky, overlooking a lagoon and watching small fishingboats go by. Live music and local dance(Sea) performances are showed often and there's a gorgeus waiter at the restaurant called Bruno :)
Expensive but nice. If you wan't you can take a boat for free from the restaurant to the Les Paradis or to the Dinarobin. Try the lamb, it's delicious Lamb was fabulousl, but all seafood is prepared very well, yummy yummy!!

Excellent hotel. Everything is perfect . If you really want a five star service try this one . We were three families and everybody enjoyed to be there.
Excellent for families with young children!

Most reviews for the Dinarobin are from honeymooners - but the hotel is great for families with young children too! My husband and I went to the Dinarobin last July with our three-year old son and our 5-week old daughter. The hotel is fantastic, the service impeccable, the rooms are gorgeous, but what really made it special for us was the excellent food and the most amazing kids club you can find! The Bob Marlin club is open from 8AM to 10PM, the wonderful staff will give children both lunch and dinner if you like (at the main restaurant, served by waiters), and will also have them after dinner so that you can enjoy a delicious meal without having to entertain your children with sticker books etc! During the day the children will be taken to play golf, tennis, swim in the pool, fish in the sea by boat, taken on trips in the glass boat, water skiing, they will do cooking and lots of games....all this while you relax on the beach! There is also some amazing marine life around Le Mourne - on a couple of outings by boat we swam with dolphins and also had a close encounter with a whale. The Dinarobin is really special....

We returned to this hotel after 5 years to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary.
The hotel staff were fabulous and made the occasion a memorable one. The hotel was very busy but we were made to feel very special with complimentary anniversary cake and and champagne at dinner and fresh fruit and a bottle of champagne in our room compliment of the General Manager.
The food were delicious and service outstanding.
Our first experience when the hotel opened was wonderful but our last one exceeded our expectations

We spent 8 days in Paradis hotel and 2 days in Dinarobin hotel.
Paradis hotel is very nice but Dinaribin is excellent! The best choice for honeymooners.

I have just come back from my honeymoon at the Dina Robin, and absolutely fell in love with this hotel. It is so peaceful and relaxing. The staff are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. We were waited on hand and foot and felt completely looked after. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. the food was amazing, the best I have ever had. The whole resort is so clean and well looked after. Our rooms were cleaned twice a day, bed turned down and curtains drawn for you in the evening. Fresh towels and linen. robes and slippers by the bed, with fresh fruit basket and champagne on arrival. when we arrived at the hotel the staff were waiting outside for us with cold towels and fruit juice. This is everything you could ever want from a holiday and more. I will come back one day for an anniversary. I have magical memories of the Dinarobin.

Has anybody been married at Dinarobin (changed my mind from the Oberoi - in fact keep changing my mind!!!) - I would love to hear from anyone who has been married at this hotel with any details that you think may be useful. Alternatively, if you have seen a wedding at Dinarobin - what were your thoughts? Any other recommendations for wedding hotels on the west coast would be very welcome? (I have already decided on Legends for the honeymoon part and am just looking for a wedding part now)
Child-Free Hotels in Mauritius

I am trying to find a child-free hotel in Mauritius - preferably one which offers an all-inclusive option as well. If not a child-free hotel, then any 4 or 5 star hotels which do not have specific facilities for children - e.g. a kiddies club - may suffice. Thank you.

Try Le Meridien Nirvana rooms, its restricted to children.
Dinarobin is popular for couples as well.
Berjaya Le Morne

I am getting married at the Dinarobin in September and my dad has booked to stay at the Berjaya Le Morne. On another forum I found some old reviews from 2003 that said it needed refurbishing - do you know if it has been recently refurbished and what is your general opinion of the hotel if you have stayed there - I dont want my dad to pay out loads of money and then be really disappointed. On the other hand though the more recent reviews from this site have been good. Just wanted some reassurance really. Thanks x
