Casuarina Hotel

Stayed here for second time May 2008. Great hotel with well spaced out whitewashed bungalows and rooms in well established gardens, with lots of relaxing waterfeatures.
Gym, spa, tennis courts, two good sized pools, bar and small beach a few feet across the road. Adequate sunloungers. Good watersports and dive centre. Two restaurants. Very relaxing environment. Rooms a good size with refurbished bathrooms with good shower though no bath. Minibar and room safe. Room decor a bit jaded, though supposedly refurbished 4 years ago; maybe the them was the then fashionable distressed look? Beds hard; orthopaedic matresses in use. I had to request a softer matress which proved to be no problem. Ample car parking. Good value hotel. Bus stop nearby to get to Grand Baie, and taxi rank at next door Trou aux Biche. The beach adjoins the lovely Trou aux Biche and Mont Choicy beach is a few minutes drive.

Unique Quality: Very relaxing ambience.
