'Think very carefully' Trust me its tired in many

Just arrived back from spending a week at this hotel in Room 345, Please note the room number if you are planning on booking this hotel or have already booked this hotel as you will need it when telling the reception staff you don't want to stay in this room but thankyou very much.

I shall start by saying OMG!!! if you are a non smoker please avoid this hotel like the plague! they allow smoking absolutely everywhere in this hotel and because most rooms have seperate interior doors to next doors hotel room if your neighbour smokes you get the full backdraft off it, I'm an ex smoker so don't often whinge about this but when you are trying to sleep and you get a face full of smoke it's not funny.

Next thing if you like peace and quiet and tranquility from a hotel please avoid this place the music BOOMS day and night in here even when you are trying to relax by the pool the music is so loud you could hear it at the bottom of the road, if you want to sleep at night? forget it the music booms its way through three floors trust me ive just had 7 nights of no sleep ..

The rooms have no aircon at all but outside of room 345 they have an air conditioning unit for the restaurant le tour de paris and i assure you it whirs its way through the french doors and doesnt stop until midnight(ish)

The traffic at the back of the hotel doesnt stop all night long and again the noise will keep you awake if your in our old room so expect this!

We had the great privilige of having a room on the knocking shop floor as we decided to call it, Yes the Russian ladies ahem took over most of the pool view rooms on the third floor and then decided to entertain all night long and shouted, and screeched down the corridors until about 6am (if you where lucky) oh and they also dont know how to actually close a door they feel it has to be slammed! so if you arrive when they are still there best of british to you your going to need it lol

These are the good points so far it gets better trust me lol

Breakfast - What a joke, now i've travelled extensively but salad is not my staple breakfast i have to say but if its yours your laughing, there is a selection of bread and rolls (hard) a tray of boiled eggs (going black) a bowl of honey and a bowl of olive oil, and one cold meat for you to choose from, so if you are on a diet this is the place for you lol we opted for B&B and damn arent we glad, we looked at the dinner menu and met a guy who ate there and his reply was 'Can you reccommed somewhere to eat' lol it was truly appauling so please AVOID Half Board..

Very badly lit stairs so be warned, you could be walking down them and the light goes off

Unique Quality: Hotel itself - Very tired and dated, tiles are falling off or have fell off all over the place here, curtains are left hanging off the hooks all over the hotel, the main reception area has sofas whose sofa cushions are dirty and need a complete change, the hotel signs dont light up anymore so if you are like me and look out for the hotel name in lights as a guide to get you back sometimes then your out of luck. The Lifts worked most of the time but could be very tempremental and work when they felt like it, the pool area was clean and life guarded (and hes a great life guard too) we saw him dive in after a child got into trouble and he did it without a blink hes a great guy and deserves recognition

The Rooms themselves - Very very tired looking rooms, old grey bathroom suites that have rust marks all over them including on the taps, very slippery tiled floors, Showers where okay if you want a tepid shower lol, tepid water in the sinks, beds where okay but be warned we booked a double and got twin single beds, old tired lamp just thrown on a bedside table which to be fair needed to be binned as the shade was hanging on by threads lol, all we got was a tv with one english channel that was it, so dont expect anything else! there was no room safe in our room, curtains again where hanging off the runners and very dated!,

Now the oustanding bit - The Cleaners, the unsung heroes of this escapade, our cleaner was outstanding and was our little guardian angel, getting our shower fixed, cleaning our room sometimes twice a day, leaving extra soaps and towels in our room she was just fabulous, Please if you do go leave the cleaners 20 Dirhams a day and they will love you for it, the average wage for a cleaner is pennies so trust me they deserve a tip and when you leave them one they treat you like the king and queen, to be fair if you have any problems in your room mention it to the cleaners they get it sorted for you, the receptionist dont care, the cleaners however do!

by Serenity_DK about Daffys

You just have to go to Daffy's restaurant, Look for the Sud Bahia hotel and its at the back of the hotel, the food is amazing and cheap as chips, the owner is fabulous and nothing is too much trouble for him, i cant reccommend this place highly enough we ate here a few times on our trip, my advice - try his meatball tagine and harira soup they are outstanding, or try his shrimp pil pil starter you wont regret it ..

Head for the hotel sud bahia which is ten mins walk uphill, walk along the beach front and you will come across the panoramique eatery and a car park, walk through the car park head up through the little staired gardens until you come across a busy main road, cross over this and keep heading uphill after 5 minutes you will see the sud bahia to your right the daffys restaurant is behind the sud bahia after crossing the road Has to be the meatball tagine its amazing!!!!!!
