Oasis Typical Package Hotel

Oasis Hotel was a typical package tour hotel on the cheap side. I have no complaints considering the price I paid. The hotel interior was shabby and could do with a lick of paint. The room was small with a small balcony overlooking the pool. The room aircon did not work at first but it was repaired immediately when I reported it. The room was cleaned every day by good efficient staff, my wife left 2 gold rings on the bedside table which were still there when we returned, this is what you should expect I know but bigger better hotels have worse records. The bar and restaurant staff were good and served with a genuine smile. We were only on bed and breakfast and only bothered two or three times, selection was poor and catered for the many French guests who seemed to tuck in with enthusiasm. The buffet style service made it hectic, I prefer to start my day relaxed not stressed with pushing and shoveing for a cup of tea. Evening meals although we did not go looked just as hectic as the queues were out into the foyer as we went out to eat on an evening, but everyone seemed to go back each night so it must have been OK.The pool area was good although we did not spend our days there, but plenty of people did and if thats what you want the facilities seemed good. There was entertainment in the evenings for those who wished. The hotel for us was just a base to explore southern Morocco, cheap, rooms clean and well serviced, cold beer in the bar, that suited us.

Hi we just come back from Agadir. The weather was just creeping up to 28c when we left. And cold nights well all I can say is if you are coming from a cold climate like we did, we were in T shirts during the evenings. Can't help you with the hotel but we stayed in a 3 star hotel and it had a swimming pool nice beds bar etc. So I can say you shouldn't have any promblems with the hotel.

Tip don't drink the tap water if you do purchase bottle water make sure the seal isn't broken. It cost us 5 dirhams for a small bottle of water or coke or fizzy drink.

Email me if you need anymore info. I'm in the process of putting together a page....

Thanks for that! In relation to cost whats the average cost of eating out. I've read some reviews that said meals can cost as little at €3.50! Is that right-seems really cheap?

well we were living on mcdonalds and pizzas ....maccies cost us 39 Dirhams which is 2.00 sterling....that includes fries and drink.

piz regular from pizza hut - 45 dirhams....

small bottle of coke would cost you 30p...5 dirhams

if you went for a meal in a resturant you would pay average 70 dirhams....that is about a fiver .....

hope that answers your question...but if you are going to stay in agadir..send me your email address and i'll scan the map of agadir for u
