We have been there last year. There is nothing wrong with this hotel exept the restaurant isn't that great and service can sometimes be slow.
Rooms are spacious and clean and there is a beautiful pool.
It's one of the better hotels in Agadir.

AGADIR: Where to stay

by northsea

Planning a week beachholiday in April.
Which hotel is the best choice - Le Meridien Palais des Roses or the Dorint Atlantic Palace ?
Thanks

Hello!

Both hotels are de luxe. Dorint is 2 minutes walking to the beach! & is a 5 star hotel!
Welcome here & enjoy your time!

Frans, hello again!

Well.. I would choose Dorint... In fact, I would never thought of staying in such hotel! So, for me they are all the same...

Building Work

by celts1957

I am due to stay at the Founty Beach ( Iberostar) from 14/5/08 and have been advised that there is a construction job in progress involving the building of a promenade and there may be some noise. Could someone please advise if the noise on this project is likely to be a nuisance and sufficient to ruin my stay.

Thanks

Bob

At present the works have started outside the Sofitel which is the last (or is it the first?) ofthe established hotels, those which have been there a long time now.
Next to the Sofitel is the Palais des Roses and then the Iberostar.
I think by the 14th much of the work should be completed, I suppose they will then move further on away from the centre to cater for the the newer hotels recently built.
As it is, the promenade is completed in the sense that one can walk along it. Although the tiling/paving has yet to be done, this will only be a minor inconvenience compared to the horrors which went on during the works.
With the concrete work more or less done on the prom, it will not be so dusty and access points will be in place to get onto the beach; this was quite a fete when I was there recently.
On thing to look out for are the cleverly concealed rocks left just under the surface of the sand (like landmines!), it does hurt to suddnly step on these when in bar feet. This was only prevlent closer to the prom works.
I do have photo's if interested but these are largely out of date even though just a short time ago; most of my postings are done on another travel review site.
