The kasbah Ennasra is a newly built kasbah in traditional style. In thee innercourt ther is a swimmingpool, a berber tent and a snackbar. The kasbah has also a restaurant and a tea room. The rooms have the entrance at a lovely inner garden and every room has its own patio. At arrival we had a lovely welcome tea with snacks in the innercourt. It was winter, but in the sun the temperature was high enough to sit outdoors. In the evening it was rather cold. In the lobby is a pc with free internet acces. The hotel organises 4WD excursions and cameltrips into the desert. We booked a 4WD trip in the hotel and visited the black desert before heading to the Erg Chebbi dunes. Coming from Ouarzazate going to Rissani I liked to have a stop half way. Nkob was our choice, a village having 45 kasbashs. Two kasbahs are turned into a hotel, Kasbah Baba baba and Kasbah Inmdoukal. Our kasbah was situated in the middle of the village. After the unpaved turn-off from the mainroad, we found the kasbah well signposted in a narrow alleyway. It was possible to drive down there by car and park the car just in front of the kasbah. The kasbah, built of adobe and palmtrunks, is a very impressive building . We had a room with a large balcony (picture 1) with a nice view at one of the innercourts and a part of the village. We had a warm Moroccan welcome with tea, sweets and nuts (picture 2).
The most striking part of kasbah Imdoukal is the rooftop with the most fantastic views at the village, the palmtrees of the oasis and the surrounding mountains. I wxperienced the sunset and sunrise from here like a fairytale. At thte roof terrace are longchairs and parasols. In one of the two innercourts of the kashabh is a small swimming pool (picture 4). There is airco in the hotelrooms. We visited Nkob in winter, so we used the heating in the evening. We had our breakfast outside in one of the innercourts in the morning sun and our dinner indoors close to the open fire. Kasbah Imdoukal is in the village at the north side of the mainroad. Take the unpaved road opposite the postoffice. by traveldave The famous Hotel La Mamounia in Marrakech is rated as one of the top hotels in all of Africa. This hotel was a favorite of Winston Churchill during his numerous trips to Morocco. Opened in 1923, it is in a building that was formerly a palace and features both Art Deco and Moorish-style architecture. The hotel is also known for its extensive gardens. I did not stay here, but wandered around the lobby and gardens. Originally built with 100 rooms, the Hotel la Mamounia has been expanded and renovated over the decades, and now offers 171 de luxe rooms, 57 suites, and three three-bedroom private villas.
The Hotel la Mamounia offers some of the finest dining in Marrakech, with five restaurants to choose from. They include the Marrakech Impériale, Le Marocain, L'Orangerie, L'Italien, and Les Trois Palmeries. Guests can also grab a snack or a drink in one of the hotel's five bars, including the Churchill Piano Bar, Le Bar au Soleil, the Bar at Les Trois Palmeries, Le Bar du Squash, and the Casino Bar. And to work off all those calories, guests have a range of sport and leisure activities to choose from, including tennis and squash, bocci/boules, ping-pong, billiards, and a fitness center. Although in our guide the auberge got a good rating; "one might not want to leave there" etc. I found it to be highly overrated. We were exited to have a hotel with a pool (it was the first one on our trip); but what we found was a sorry excuse for a pool (dirty concrete container with water ). The rooms were basic . The food horrific (you can have much better food in Midelt with the locals ), staff unfriendly. I for one was glad to leave the auberge.... Theme: Inn

This was a very nice hotel. when we were there September 2007, there were only 2 other couples staying there (as most people head directly for Erg Chebbi ). Nice pool, rooms etc and excellent service.

This Riad is truely what you imagine a riad should be; plain looking outside and when you enter you are stunned by its beauty. It is a harbour of peace, excellent service and food! Highly recommended.

Hamza, our night watchman with the Land Cruiser. by pfsmalo We stayed here on the road towards the Western Sahara, not really by choice but by the fact it looked a bit livelier than the only other hotel in town. Rooms are dirt cheap at 80DH for a double. Shared showers and w.c's. Carpet on the floor and linen was clean. The restaurant next door, although under the same name doesn't seem to have much to do with the hotel. Food was good. Hotel entrance. by pfsmalo This was a little hotel we found on the coast south of Tangiers, after getting off the boat. Very close to the main square in Larache in a pedestrian street. Room was very clean but not that big for 2 people. Still, for the price....
