 | Morocco Reviews | Tips 51 - 60 of 318 | | In Essaouria we stayed in Riad Zahra. After we passed the frontdoor we entered in the colourful world of the patio in arab andalusian style (picture 1). The 23 rooms -with bathroom and satellite tv- are situated around this patio. Also our room at the first floor was very colourful decorated in the so-called Beldi style (picture 2 & 3).
The Riad has a scenic Moroccan salon (picture 4), where breakfast, dinner and drinks are served. At the backside of the riad is a terrace and a swimmingpool (picture 5) Leave a Comment Theme: HotelPrice: US$20-40 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: 90, Quartier des Dunes, EssaouiraPhone: +212 24474822Directions: Riad Zahra is located in the Quarter Villa, only one block from the beach and a 15 minutes walk south from the medina.Website: www.riadzahra.com Other Contact: riadzahra@menara.ma

We ran into a sand storm before Erfoud and were thankful to find this small hotel with the help of a kid we picked up on the road (probably his Dad's hotel). Room was very clean and the hotel was cheap and cheerful. Food was very good. Toilets and showers are on the landing. Breakfast is had at a small café across the road. Room was 70 DH for the double. The third time we came to Agadir we made a 5 days trip into the desert with landrovers. After this interesting trip in the dusty desert it was a delight to stay for two days in the Almodades Hotel with its green and flowering garden. A lot of time I spent here close to the swimmingpool or in the open air restaurant instead of going out to the beach nearby or into town. From the entrance at the front you are in the middle of the lively area with shops and restaurants. At the back from the garden is a exit form where you can reach the beach only by crossing the street. During my four visits to Agagdir Hotel Igoudar was the first htoel where I stayed. The hotel was booked in advance at home and was OK. Hotel Igoudar is a small hotel with white walls at the first floor above touristshops and restaurants. At the first floor is a nice paved area with a swimming pool. Our room was at the same floor and our door came out in this paved area.
The area of the hotel at the first floor is peaceful and relaxing, but at the moment you leave the hoteldoor you are in the middle of bustling tourist life of the shops and restaurants. I liked that contrast. Leave a Comment Theme: HotelComparison: about averageDirections: Area of hotels, restaurants and touristshops around the Boulevard Mohammed V.

If you are looking for a budget hotel in Agadir, the ** star Hotel El Bahia is a good choice. The 52 clean rooms most with private shower and toilet and nicily furnished are situated around a small cosy courtyard. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. Around the hotel are several restaurants, shops, a market, a ATM. It's a five minute walk to the Central Market and 10 minutes to the beach. There are good guarded parking facilities in front of the hotel. I booked the hotel by hostelsclub.com, but you can also phone the hotel directly. The hotel is frequented by backpackers, overland travellers and VT-ers (the Matcrazies0&1 stayed also in this hotel). In the main season I managed to book a room here only a few days ahead. The hotel has a nice courtyard. If you like, you can have your breakfast here for around 2,20 euro. In the room you have direct dial telephones and satellite TV. Certainly a quiet period in the area(end September) we were the only people in the hotel which made it even more peaceful. Very friendly welcome by Ahmed himself, made us feel really at home.Gave us a room that gave onto the rooftop terrace where we sat ouside to watch the sun go down over the Atlas mountains. A great view over the rooftops to the Glaoui casbah as well. Food at the restaurant was very good and cheap.Nice room done out in arabic style.Room was 150 DH and meal 65 DH (approx 14 and 6 Euros).
